I wanted to love the phone but...

I wanted to love the phone, I really really did! Customer service is responsive and friendly but the phone does not do well the 2 things it is supposed to do: messages and phone. Messages are unreliable and the connection on the phone is so bad that is mostly serves as proof of life but not communication. We have tried since September and I am now giving up and buying a new phone for my kid. For the price I am afraid I cannot recommend it.

Just the phone I was looking for

I'm enjoying The Phone very much.
It's so simple and easy to use and a great way to uncomplicate my phone usage because it makes it can only text and call.
And that's all I need in a phone.
But regular "dumbphones" doesn't come with a big touchscreen that makes it easier to write text messages than on a normal Nokia-style dumb phone with a classic keyboard.
And that's just what I was looking for.

Good phone!

We got the phone about three weeks ago. So far, it is great. My daughter is happy she can call and write messages with ease. And that it looks like a fancy smartphone. 😉
We are grateful that this one has been developed.

Perfect solution for 11-year-old

We faced tremendous pressure to get a regular phone for our 11-year-old, but we knew she wasn't ready. The Phone is an excellent solution, and our daughter loves it. She no longer asks for any other phone, as she can perfectly communicate with her friends, without any other distractions. I highly recommend it!

Great company, good phone

Just make sure you get the Phone + of you are in the UK as the other one won't work due to the removal of our 3G network.

Great phone! More basic then a dumb phone and yet…
So much easier to use, looks very sleek.
Emojis were a bonus and a surprise for my child.
Delivery was prompt to the uk.
So far very pleased and relieved with the peace of mind.

Absolutely superb Customer Service

Absolutely superb Customer Service
Excellent phone which gives us peace of mind that there is no access to the internet and social media. The customer service team is excellent, very quick response from customer service. They sent out a replacement phone very quickly to me and when there were issues with the delivery, they sorted out very quickly. Amazing company and amazing phone.

Excellent customer service

We’ve had an excellent customer service experience with The Phone team.
When we learnt our Phone+ wouldn’t arrive until November, they were quick to assist us as we needed a phone urgently. They spoke to us on the phone and always replied quickly to emails. It was a stressful situation that they thoroughly helped us with. Big thanks to Amira, Elsa and Timothée.

Bad quality

I bought a ThePhone for my 11 year old daughter, as I thought the project is very interesting, and the phone suits what she needs at her age, it looks like a smartphone but with only the required features. After 1 week of usage the speaker was out of order, it does not ring anymore and she can't use the speaker for conversations. I had to return the phone for repair, I would have expected a replacement instead. And I had a free return sticker, but only for a few days to return the phone during a long weekend and my daughter was going on a trip with her school, so she needed it. But as the delay was passed, the return became at my charge, which I refused (1 week of usage only. I bought it in february but offered it only in april to my daughter!). So my experience is bad, and I will renew her phone but it will not be a ThePhone...

Brilliant product and great substitute…

Brilliant product and great substitute to a smart phone. No other phone like it! I was desperate for a dumb phone which looked like a smart phone and had a touch screen for my 10 yo. She is so happy and has brought me some more time before I relent and get her a smart phone.
