Is anybody there?

Saturday 18th April I lost out on a V4 tuono so searched the net and found pottery’s had 2 in stock!! So bright and early Sunday 19th I set off so I could be at the shop when the doors opened.
Arrived and after a while I spoke with a lady while Chris was dealing with a customer,
Eventually Chris come over and in all honesty it was like he didn’t want to be there either that or he thought I was just another messer.
So starts the buying experience!

The buyer wasn’t available so I left the dealership not knowing the value of my part-ex,
But I was assured that they would get in touch as soon as they have a value.
So I walked away not really knowing what to expect.
The following day I waited and waited for a call in the end I just called the shop myself and spoke to Chris again and again it was almost like selling this bike wasn’t high on his agenda.
Because the bikes are different one a 25 model and one a 26 model I asked for quotes on both.
All I got was a quote on the 26 model.
So I call back and again, getting information is hard going
Please can I have a quote on the 25..
Ok I will do it for you now
Success! We have a deal…
Hello ? Are you still there Chris….
Yes still here..
ok I will get the docs over to you…

Honestly that’s the most I got out of him.
So again I have to chase for a delivery date and just receive a text with ‘ Tuesday 28th ‘
Ok is that AM ? PM ?
Nothing so I text back see you at 9am
‘Can you make it 9.30 Chris…

So delivery date comes
I set off 8am to arrive at 9-9.15
I arrive and no Chris 🤣
So Joe dealt with me,
I was hoping for a quick turn around because I have to get back to work hence the early appointment.
After some issues with documentation and having to start again
We finally get the green light,
But because I was in a rush to get back to work I didn’t really get chance to question things.
But I did ask about phone connection to the bike and Joe told me it’s simple enough but if you struggle give us a call and one of the techs will talk you through it..
So of I go the 80 miles back to work ( late very late )
The bike feels slow to turn and clumsy
Maybe it’s just me…
Nope I checked the tyre pressure at work and the front tyre is at 1.5bar ( should be 2.2 )
Then I noticed the bike hasn’t even been cleaned and it still covered in the dust from the show room!
Should this be checked on a PDI? I think it should.

So I call to explain all this and started with the connection issue.
Only to be told that my bike needs a module for that and that will be an extra £170+

If this was explained when I ordered the bike I would have just told them to fit it.
But because communication was almost zero I didn’t even know this module existed.

So again today I get a call from Chris to tell me this and so I explain that I am not very happy about this hole experience and he said
Give me a minute and I will talk with Joe and call you back
That was 12.30 today.. and you guessed it still no call back.

Honestly this has been the worse motorcycle purchase I’ve ever had

Could I of done things differently yes
Maybe I should have pushed more but forgive me if I’m wrong but isn’t that the job of the sales ?
To make sure the customer
Understands and is aware of all the things needed ?
I should of stuck with my gut feeling and walked away

Sad really because getting a new motorcycle should be ( and normally is) a fun experience
