The Responsible dog rescue is a fantastic non profit making charity, I have been fostering dogs for them since 2022 and the support and the friendliness of the support staff goes above and beyond what you could imagine.
If you are reading this review and are thinking of fostering or adopting a dog from them I would highly recommend them, they go above and beyond to make sure that the dogs they rescue have had all of their relevant injections and inoculations before arriving in this country in in accordance with DEFRA regulations.
One thing I would state is that if you are filling in an application form be absolutely honest before getting to the home check stage because if your not and just glance through it and fill it in regardless then you will be found out.
Please remember adopt Don't shop.

I have now had a response from this community rescue. Apparently they are not a real charity .

I have asked them to please return my deposit and I in turn can post on here a resolution has been found but they seem more interested in the fact if I work as a solicitor and my roll number.
Really not sure what on earth this has to do with giving me my deposit back
I guess I’m left with no option but to take action against them to recover my deposit .
I have tried to find a solution but they are not willing to work with me and I have been asked to take this post down by them …..

I was interested in a dog and made a deposit of £150 on the understanding I would be refunded the deposit if I failed the homecheck .
The day before the homecheck I was asked for photos of my fence. My fence is all different heights so I made the photo of the lowest fencing I have . 4ft 4. I was told that that particular dog would not suit. Which is fair enough. I was then told I could not have my deposit back . I could only transfer to another dog. The sister of Elsa . As I explained I did not want Ellie . I was only interested in Elsa. I was told to send an email to headquarters . Each email bounced. I was then asked for proof I sent the email by Caroline mason .That was provided too. I was then told I’d hear from them the next day. Of course I didn’t and then never heard from her either.. I have since sent an email to them from another email address which of course went through as I was not blocked on that one. I informed them I had reported them to the charity commission and if they would like to settle what they owe me. They could before I take it further. No answer. So now I will go to legal proceeding to recover the money.
STEER well clear of these people . I feel I have been completely scammed . I won’t rest however . I will see this through ……….

The Responsible Dog Rescue is truly extraordinary, prioritizing the well-being of every dog in their care. They uniquely offer lifelong free behavioral support, something I've not seen elsewhere. I have adopted two dogs from TRDR, and the joy of being part of their rescue journey and giving them a fresh start is immensely fulfilling. They have a detailed process that ensures you and the dog are perfectly matched, which I find incredible! I can’t imagine going to any other rescue now. The dedication and affection they show each dog are remarkable. I'm so grateful for my two amazing dogs!

I first came across this rescue when researching options of fostering or adopting foreign rescue dogs in 2020 / 2021. In March 2021, after a rigorous home check and plenty of advice, we welcomed our first Romanian foster dog, who we since went on to adopt.
The ongoing support, from before arrival and ever since, has been brilliant. The rescue promises lifetime behaviour support which really is true. Whenever we had a question, they are always just a message away - plus have a really supportive facebook community of experienced fosterers and previous adopters too.

We have since gone on to foster several more dogs through this rescue, and I'm always reassured by their care and diligence!

The Responsible Dog Rescue is a fantastic Rescue. They fully care for the welfare of the dogs!! They are the only I Rescue I'm aware of that give you free behavioural support for the entirety of the dogs life. I have 2 rescues from TRDR, to be part of saving a dog's life and giving them a second chance, is just so rewarding. The process is very thorough to ensure you are the best match for the dog you are looking to foster/adopt, which I think is remarkable!! I wouldn't go anywhere else now to Rescue a dog! They are outstanding, the care and love given to each dog is amazing. Thank you for giving me my 2 wonderful dog!!

Fantastic rescue who we adopted our pup from 3 years ago now. They offer full rescue back up and not only that, full behaviour support with behaviourist experts in Romanian dog behaviours and that support is all free, for the life of the dog. I don’t know many other rescues who offer that! Everyone is friendly and approachable and you can be part of a wonderful community of like minded individuals who share experience and advice.

Be honest with them if you are having challenges and listen to the advice you are given and you will have a great life with the dog whose life you have literally saved. Fantastic work. Thankyou for saving our boy and letting us be his new family, we adore him.

The Responsible dog rescue are fantastic. I have adopted 5 dogs that i originally fostered. I had spent a lot of time researching and TRDR was the best in terms of rescue back up and behaviour support. They are so passionate about rescuing. Please don’t overlook this lovely rescue, you won’t be disappointed.

This organisation is absolutely 5 star. It is not just a dog rescue - it literally is a partnership for the life of the dog. The amount of support they provide, and the care they take to match you to the right dog, is incredible. I literally didn't know that dog rescue could be like this. It sounds cheesy, but I was so impressed that I decided to volunteer with them. The team has so much expertise, it is no wonder that they have an incredibly high percentage of successful homing of dogs. Don't hesitate - they really are terrific, and extremely honest.

I recommend that you stay away from this dog rescue, they are not transparent with the dog’s history and will happily try and re home with issues that were not disclosed. They took £430 of my 77 year old mother for a dog that was described to be the ideal dog…. Good with other pets and people including pet savvy children, within 12 hours it but my 24 year old nephew and made an unprovoked attack on my poor mums 10 year old Yorkie which had lead to expensive vet bills. Dog was collected and we asked for a refund as they were not truthful due to none disclosure of the dogs past issues. I’ve now been blocked on Facebook and no sign of any refund just them threatening legal action so they don’t have to refund any money
