Where do I start, I needed a replacement domestic water pump for my home urgently due to a failure of the seals on the existing one. A quick google search lead me to The Shopsite web site, being urgent I wanted a contact number but couldn't find one, reluctantly I emailed my request for a pick up address expecting that I wouldn't get a reply for some time. Surprisingly before I could begin searching for another option I had a reply from the Shopsite giving the location for pick up, unfortunately this was in Christchurch and being in Auckland I could see a delay problem, compounded by current fuel & freight issues. That said, on the reassurance that the item was in stock and would be sent immediately on payment I ordered and paid for the Water Jet Pump 1 HP - Water Pump on line. That was Friday noon, within 30 min I received a TT number and the following Monday morning the pump was delivered in Auckland at 7.30 am. Well done The Shopsite, excellent communication, great price, speedy delivery & the pump turned up well packaged in a wooden box. 10/10

I purchased a 30 meter Ethernet cable from Shopsite via Mighty Ape.

They sent me a 20 meter cable in a bag labeled as 30 meter, it is a total rip off.

The 20 meter cable Shopsite sent me is totally useless, I cannot use it.

I have sent emails to them but they have not responded.

I now have to buy an actual 30 meter cable that I can use, of course I will buy it from a different supplier.

I will never again buy anything from Shopsite, and will look very carefully at anything from Mighty Ape too.

The only thing I would say is don't use Aramex for post, always take ages to get to us

Be aware.... Many of the Solar Panel specifications on the Shopsite website are not correct. I ordered 2 panels and the size measurements were wrong. Ordered replacement panels and again the 2nd panels sent were the wrong type. Total waste of my time.

I have never used this site before but I have to say the service and the prompt despatch of the product I bought was excellent.

The prompt arrival of my purchase, only 1-2 days and its here, GREAT!

I bought a treadmill from this site and it turned out to be faulty. I reported the issue but received no response from the store. Then, out of the blue, I got a notification from a shipping company saying they would pick it up – but I still haven’t been told whether I’ll be getting a refund or a replacement, or if the pickup is even legitimate. The complete lack of communication and clarity has been very frustrating. Based on my experience, I would not recommend buying from this site.

My recently purchased charger started to crackle then went Pop!
And never went again.
I contacted The shop site and got what seemed like a generic reply - take a photo or make a short video showing your problem.
I responded that it wasn't anything you could see! The charger just wasn't working.
I got a more personal reply asking if I would like a replacement charger?
I accepted this and received notification from the courier that my parcel had been picked up and was in transit.
It was delivered in just over a week of my complaint.
The replacement charger is working fine.
I'm very happy with the team at the shop site and their rapid and positive response to my initial complaint.
I'm very happy with the outcome. 5 stars

It's hard to find sellers who care after sale. Even customers protect by laws some sellers know how to sneak and cheat the customers. My experience with TheShopSite is beyond expectations. Got some grow lights, acutely my second order after satisfy with quality of the product. Found well packet product in the box but remote was broken. Request for replacement and customer service team responded faster than I thought. Isn't that amazing? For me AAA+++ for the ShopSite..

The winch I purchased is faulty in that it will not free spool. This means that the only way to pay out the cable is to put the winch in reverse, a time consuming process when the winch is not being used to pull a load forward. Also very time consuming has been the process (still ongoing) of getting a refund or a fully functional product. I get an email asking for a piece of information, such as a photo or video or a bar code, one after another. We have reached a stage where there are no further questions for Shop Site to ask and they appear to have gone into silent mode. I do not hold out much hope of getting a satisfactory resolution.

Purchased a home security system, has faulted twice, was replaced the first time but have not been helpful second time, not returning emails, will need to take legal action to recover costs.

They are based in Christchurch, but don't allow pick-up. The product on the site, it is different to what gets delivered. The instructions were for a different sho cabinet, and hard to follow. I got frustrated that I couldn't put it together, and contacted someone to help, but it would have cost $150, to get it put together for me. I wanted the one for boots, that is not what I received. The cabinet is not steady, so it needs to be attached to the wall, I wouldn't have bought it, had I known, as I flat.

I recently purchased a set of kitchen appliances from theshopsite.co.nz. The website was user-friendly, making finding and ordering the products I needed easy. My order arrived within three days, well-packaged, and in perfect condition. The appliances matched their descriptions and have been functioning excellently. I didn't need to contact customer service, as the entire process was seamless.

Purchased a desk. Could not assemble completely as holes did not open up for bolts and was really flimsy even with most bolts in. Sent video and pics and requested return for refund. They said manufacturer said they had no complaints so it was my problem just put stuff on it to stop it wobbling. So down the cost of desk plus now have to pay to get rid of it at tip cos not worth keeping. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM

Do not buy from this site or from them on Mighty Ape!!! Office/Gaming Chair purchased. Missing Parts, rubbish quality chair, instructions not in English. USB Cord hanging out of the back of seat for gods knows what? You only have 14 days to return to them for them to consider if they will give you a refund or not. So depending on where you live, sending back to Christchurch will cost you the same price as the chair purchased. Be warned, stay clear of them.

Didnt get the item and Courier company - Aramex told me that sender didnt even completed the shipping from their side after 1 week of back of forth communication with them. Stay away from these scammers

Terrible quality and service

Sent me a faulty product and only offered $20 as 'compensation' rather than offering to repair, replace or provide a full refund as per consumer guarantees act. Has been over 3 working days and still no 'compensation payment' or resolution and I am beyond disappointed. Will be taking it further if no resolution soon. Absolutely appalling service
