Oprichter Rolf van Zanten startte The Silver Mountain in 2008, tijdens zijn studie Commerciële Economie. The Silver Mountain was de eerste partij in Nederland die deze munten onder de margeregeling aanbood, een belangrijke stap, want dat maakte investeren in zilver voor het eerst toegankelijk voor particulieren.

Amazing Customer Service
Update: Customer service is the best so far I had. Silver Mountain addressed in transparent manner accrued issue. Which was very thoughtful and unexpected for me but make me feel very happy.
Ordering and purchase process was flawless, I will use Silver Mountain services in the future.
However, very pricy item delivery was delivered and ID was not checked by the currier, Silver Mountain customer service addressed the issue in professional manner.

Good, but there is space for improvement.
So far, I haven't had big issues. Customer service on the phone is also good and efficient.
If there is going to be a delay, The Silver Mountain usually sends an email warning about it and explaining the reason. Just in case, if you get over 1 week delay without any email, I recommend to call them just to confirm the status of your package. It only happened once but, although they had enough stock of the items I ordered, they forgot to send it.
The boxing and the security could use some improvement. At the moment of receiving the package, I wasn't ask for ID nor I had to sign anything. Also, the box was very soft packed and I was able to reach the content inside with my hand without opening it.
Still a good service. I recommend it.
