Terrible service company

They don't take ownership when they sell defective products and then blacklist you when you try to return (and then have to threaten a chargeback) to actually get them to support such defective products.

Blacklisted like so many others

Blacklisted like so many others. And all you get is a 'third party company did it, we won't do anything about it' response. Having spent thousands there, this is frustrating to say the least. Was it something I said? Did I cancel an order? Is their 3rd party marketplace a den of fraud that blacklists you when you catch them? They won't tell you. Apparently they don't want the business either. I won't recommend them to friends or customers any longer.

Blacklisted too! What gives?

Just like the other guy said! I got blacklisted for fraud after being a long term customer! Customer support sucks. Even emailed the VP or whatever and no reply from her either. Boo this company. BOOOOOOOO.

Blacklisted in 2025 after $1,390.54 in purchases 2022-2024

Blacklisted

I have bought over $1000 of Zooz devices over the last 2.5 years. I was planning on buying thousands of dollars more. Their site now inexplicably cancels any order I place for "fraud" reasons. They won't explain what that fraud might be, and claim that a third party has reported me for fraud. They won't name that third party, so there is no way for me to appeal or have my information corrected. I can still shop online or at retail everywhere else without any issue, and I don't believe that third party exists at this point. This is their own doing.

To be fair, their technical support is good. I wish I could say the same for their shopping site.

The smartest house has been great to order from, I'm sad to see the low rating on this page from people. I've never had an issue receiving items from them. When I did have some issues with Zooz products, Zooz itself was very quick to respond.

Frustration always has hidden roots...
I do understand the pain all these guys rating one star : here is zero tolerance for scam. Go back to Amazon, return smashed ir broken items, empty box or something different instead of original purchase . Amazon never check it and you can call yourselves smart person. Some sellers just saying STOP such practices. I'm the z-wave installer and been cooperate with thesmartesthouse for several years. Nothing unusual or wrong in their policy. Always receive orders on time, my customers receive tech support if needed from their friendly staff. . So, if you are not a scammer, this is a right place for you.

Total scam. Very unprofessional and uncommunicative.

While I generally like Zooz products, and these folks claim to manufacture them, my experiences with them have been horrible. I made a significant order and got a bad switch. I returned it and they said they were going to deduct a fee as they did not find it to be defective. The unit clearly malfunctioned significantly and they did not adequately test it. I complained and they agreed to a full refund. I went to order more products and the order kept getting canceled. They would not return any of the multiple customer service phone calls or emails over the course of a month. Their site suggested it might be flagged as being fraudulent due to a credit card or IP address. This was not the case. They finally came back and told me my account was blocked from placing any further orders and there was nothing that could be done about it. These seemed to be very childish, passive-aggressive, and unprofessional to me. I gave them numerous opportunities to communicate with me and keep me as a customer. It seems they do not want me and the feeling is now quite mutual. There are other products, brands, and vendors to be had. Total fail. Stay far away.

Unable to reach customer support, being asked by support to change vendor

I spent $1000 on ZooZ devices in 2021, and are facing major issues right now, with devices disconnecting on a random basis. I also have several devices that may require warranty replacement.
Back in 2021 the support was great.
Now I send emails and do not get a response. I am completely ignored. Phone calls immediately go to voicemail and I never get a call back.
I used a different email account and got the answer along the line of "well, if you have problems with our devices, you should change the brand", not even working on diagnosing the root cause.
I opened tickets and they are automatically closed within minutes or just being deleted.
There is no way to find out, if the devices are registered, since there is no response.
I wanted to get some troubleshooting going and never get any response. There is also no ability to find their physical address and a different way of contacting beyond their info account.
I am really disappointed with the deterioration of their service and them ignoring me.

Return policy is pretty bad

Not sure why people are rating them highly. I made my first and last purchase with them, a zwave water valve actuator, and had to return it. Despite the fact that it was unused, they took 10% off the return for opening the box and said their policy allowed for an up to 30% deduction. The policy on their website says unused, not unopened. I could have ordered the same from Amazon and avoided the trouble.
