All water and debris that reach The SpoutOff outlet will fall out of the gutter, through the very large SpoutOff outlet, down the downspout and away from the house or building. (2) To check and clean present small outlets you have to climb up there— 1, 2, even 3-story. This is time consuming and VERY DANGEROUS! The SpoutOff has been designed and engineered to be a REMOVABLE DOWNSPOUT. That’s right, remove your 1, 2, even 3-story SpoutOff downspout and check and clean your downspouts in less than 30 seconds while STANDING SAFELY DOWN ON THE GROUND! No ladder needed, no tools needed. Note: A 2-story downspout only weighs about 6 pounds. The SpoutOff can be RETROFITTED to all 5” and 6” K-style gutters so no new gutters are needed. We strongly recommend upgrading to 3x4 downspouts to maintain the integrity of the large SpoutOff outlet all the way down the downspout.
