As other comments state the process for obtaining an SSL is extremely complicated. However the customer support is really good. Support agent Tjarda helped me throughout the verification process. The agents are always kind are they rarely make you wait, the only delay is when they are checking something.

Great service

The EV process is quite complicated when it comes to all the information you have to provide about the company that is requesting the certificate. Kimberley from customer service helped me out with all the questions I had about the form I had to file with them, answering my questions in a clear and easily understandable way.

Not even worth one star but cant leave zero stars

Not sure how one reviewer left a five star review - maybe somebody that works for the business ?? Service, support and pretty much everything else is terrible - one star is too much but you cant give zero stars. Fours months after paying for a multi domain EV SSL we are still waiting for them to complete validation - calls at 10pm or at weekends shows how incompetent these people are

Absolutely appalling support, customer service and plugins.

This is supposed to e one of the main SSL players! They are based in the US in Florida, just as well that Disneyland is nearby as they are so Mickey Mouse.

The support takes days just to get a first response, you never seem to get a resolution.

Their cPanel and WHMCS plugins are lamentable, every order we've ever had via the plugins has had to be completed manually.

We are all starting to realise that SSL is a fantasy product anyway conceived and operated by a small group of businesses to do nothing more than make money from old rope.

My advice is to avoid The SSL Store and paid SSL. Got get yourself a Let's Encrypt cert and save the hassle.

No renewal notifications were sent out …

No renewal notifications were sent out for one specific order, despite happening for all other orders over years of previous use. The company admitted it was a glitch on their system, yet offered no real solution or good will gesture to help restore my trust and maintain my custom, despite causing me thousands in lost business (certificate expired without me knowing).

The automated systems behind the order generation for these guys is pretty good, but if you ever have an issue and have to deal with customer service you may as well not bother. They do not value your custom.

Oh, and make sure you set your own alerts and don't trust their renewal notifications. I learnt the hard way.
