Called in Saturday to purchase a slate hearth . Needed it for Monday . Was quickly informed that the slate would need to be adapted to fit the aperture. recently had a very disappointing experience with The Stove Yard in Newtownards. I was interested in purchasing a multi stove and arranged for a representative to visit my home to discuss options and review my needs. We agreed on a specific date and time for the appointment, and I rearranged my plans to be available.
However, on the scheduled day, no one showed up. I waited, expecting at least a courtesy call if there were any delays or issues, but heard nothing. I attempted to contact The Stove Yard by phone multiple times throughout the day and even the following day, but received no response. Which was incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of my time.
This level of poor communication and lack of reliability is unacceptable, especially for a business that relies on customer trust and service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend The Stove Yard. If you’re considering purchasing from them, beware of potential no-shows and poor customer service.
Visited the store looked at stoves. Then rang several times and availed to confirm was interested in stove install. Never heard back dispute leaving voicemails/emails. I appreciate they are busy but hire more staff and sell more stoves. Ended up with first class service from AGA Stove and Fire Centre Bangor. They wanted the business.
Placed an order with stoveyard on 4th September after 4 weeks with no update on delivery tried to contact them, impossible to reach on the phone, so e mailed no reply so asked to cancel order and refund. Guess what no answer either by phone or e mail. This company has zero regard to customer service just go elsewhere.
In our experience, The Stove Yard were not interested in doing business. We had a straightforward request for an inset stove - we picked one out in store, gave our details, and were told we would be contacted. When after 5 weeks, we hadn't heard back, we tried calling the store three more times. There were no communications to explain the delay and no one called us back. Eventually a surveyor came out, but quickly told us that he couldn't put an inset stove into our fireplace. Bizarre and very disappointing.
