What can I say…!

What can I say…. we are in love with our gorgeous table! The quality, the finish and the service are impeccable.
The neat and unique feature of the ice buckets are such a treat. They save time, effort and are an original addition to our social gatherings. Fill them with ice, beers or plonk and you are away!! Stress free!
We have also used the central buckets as cute herb gardens, planting little pots of mint/rosemary and thyme..(these being natural insect repellents and they look great too!) These versatile centre table buckets are fabulous.
We highly recommend the Table Guy.

Perfect Table for Entertaining!

Perfect Table for Entertaining!
I'm obsessed with this table! The recycled wood gives it such a cool, rustic vibe, and you can really tell it's been made with care. It's solid, stylish, and just feels special.
The best part, The built-in ice buckets. Total game changer! I can load them up with ice and keep bottles of beer, wine or any kind of beverage chilled right at the table, no more running back to the kitchen.
Guests love it!!!
it's a whole vibe. practical, and a real showstopper for any gathering. Highly recommend!

Taken money and not delivered

Paid for my items 5 weeks ago. Zero communication other than a confirmation email that I had paid.

Chased via email 2 days ago and again no response.

Called within office hours and recorded message says the office is closed a d call back in office hours (with no times given)

After yet another email I get a standard response saying they are sorry and it will take them 72 hours to review and get back to me and that they think it’s because they forgot to email me back it’s another invoice for a seperate delivery charge that was not included in the purchase process when buying ….(!!!?)

Waste of time. Shop elsewhere

Looking back over our correspondence, we can see that all your emails were responded to within our usual 24–48 hour timeframe. In our reply, we mentioned that a member of our team would be in touch the very next morning to provide an update on your order — not that you would have to wait 72 hours for a response. We simply included our general response window of 24–72 hours as a guideline, in case of busier periods, although we almost always reply much sooner.

Regarding the status of your order, we can confirm that it has not yet been dispatched because the delivery fee has not been paid. This is something we noted we'd follow up on the following morning. You mentioned not receiving anything, so we made sure to chase this in case the delivery invoice didn’t reach you.

Please also note — the delivery fee was not unexpected or added later. At checkout, you selected the ‘Quote Delivery’ option, which clearly states that shipping will be quoted separately based on your location. This is standard procedure for seating orders.

We're genuinely saddened that this review was posted before we had the opportunity to clarify and resolve this for you. We always aim to provide clear, timely communication and feel disappointed that your experience didn’t reflect our usual standard.

We’re still here and happy to help move things forward as quickly as possible.

We love everything about our table

We love everything about our table! It’s exactly what we ordered (and I’ve wanted one like this for years!) and it looks beautiful. Everyone we dealt with was polite and helpful. Any delays in communication we put down to a small business working hard to deliver the goods without adding costs with extra office staff. We are very happy customers.

Beautiful Table & A Business on the Up

I was a little hesitant at first after seeing a few recent negative reviews, but I’m so glad I gave this family-run business a chance. It really seems like they’re listening to feedback and turning things around. The bespoke table they made for me is absolutely stunning—truly second to none in terms of craftsmanship and quality. Every detail feels carefully considered, and you can tell a lot of heart goes into their work. The communication was clear, and the finished product exceeded my expectations. So glad I trusted them—this piece is now a standout in my home. Keep up the great work!

My table is really nice

My table is really nice, custom built for me with specific finishes. The delivery chap, Charles, helped me assemble it and was a great ambassador. Only 4 stars and not 5 as it took a few weeks to agree a mutually convenient delivery date. I'm really pleased with the product though.

Awful experience placed an order for…

Awful experience placed an order for kitchen stools and paid over £800 upfront we were promised delivery all through the summer three different dates given and we never ever received goods. Asked politely for a refund and was promised a refund within 14days never received refund they took our money but no goods received. Thankfully spoke with citizens advise and my bank who successfully made a reverse charge and we finally received our many back. Please be careful this company do not answer their phones and they very rarely communicate by email. Lesson learnt and I will never purchase anything without thoroughly researching the company first .

Thankyou for your response nice to know you will respond to a trust pilot review but not emails. I did NOT put the dispute in until I had waited the 14 days for our refund which never ever happened. The bank then took over and asked for a reverse charge so we could get our money back which you then disputed. We Felt the need to make this comment as it was so disheartening that you would even dispute the claim when you took my money and promised us a refund you did not uphold anything that was promised or the goods that we paid for sadly and I certainly wouldn't want anyone else going through what we did wether it be six months ago or present day and it seems like other people are In The same boat as I was Thankyou

I’d like to clarify that this matter was resolved mutually via the credit card company, as the claim had already been put in when the refund was due to be processed. Additionally, this was settled over six months ago, so we feel saddened that you felt the need to leave this review after so much time has passed.

That said, I completely understand how frustrating the situation must have been for you at the time, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. We take feedback like this seriously and are continuously working to improve our processes to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

No covers- small claims court

Like the other comments we have been ignored after tables were delivered- but no covers. Chased and chased and finally on 24/10/24 was told refund paid. Surprisingly nothing arrived. Chased again……so have now gone through small claims court. If you are responding to trustpilot comments, now is the time to redeem yourselves. The order is on inv 0000050 and you can contact us to fully refund and avoid a county court judgement against yourselves. We will see

Massive scam

Massive scam. Ordered 4 chairs, never came. Went radio silent, don’t answer the phone, don’t answer emails.

Avoid those crooks. I reached out to a lawyer and will be suing.

Purchased 2.7m table with metal legs…

Purchased 2.7m table with metal legs for £1200. They were very helpful in the sales process and made a big effort to get it delivered just before Christmas.
Table looks absolutely great.
There was a bit of a wobble to the table when it first arrived but the company were excellent at sending someone out to get it adjusted - all good now.

Avoid! Must be a scam website!

Horrendous website - completely avoid!
Ordered a bar stool for work back in July and they took my money straight away but have never sent me the product because it “wasn’t in stock”. They have ignored my emails and when they eventually replied I got a poor excuse of the person being sick - surely if you have a business you have more than one person in customer service? Ordered in July and it’s now 30th October with no resolution or refund. I am confident this is a scam website and have told them I am reporting them to trading standards so I encourage everyone to do the same that has been impacted by them. AVOID! Do not give them your money because like all of these other reviews (that I wish I had read first) you will not receive anything!

Terrible customer service

Table and cover ordered. Table received several months later but cover never received despite numerous ‘it’s on its way’ assurances. Chaser emails sent - no response. No phone number to call. Terrible customer service.

Despite the comment below NO table cover had EVER been delivered. We are now awaiting a county court judgment (along with several other unhappy customers) to see if that gets us anywhere.

Update - now the comment below has changed from ‘we can see that all your items have been delivered’ to ‘please contact us’. I have done this many times in the past to no avail. I am also aware of other customers that have gone to small claims court to try to get their money back for goods not delivered and - despite communication stating the money would be refunded - it never has been. I have very little faith I will get anywhere with this company, which I would suggest you avoid at costs.

AVOID

Simply dreadful company to deal with - I returned 4 chairs and they constantly palmed me off when I seeked a refund. The product was unsatisfactory and the customer service even worse. I eventually managed to get the refund done through my credit card company as the table guy completely ignored me. I wouldn't buy from this company because in my experience if anything is wrong they will mess you about on a wild goose chase hoping that you will let it drop.

This is not how a small business should operate

After visiting the workshop of this company we placed an order in good faith for a bespoke dining room table and bench which they agreed they would be able to produce. Alarm bells started to ring when telephone calls were never answered and communication totally stopped. We were advised that "we do not speak to customers by telephone as we prefer to deal by email" Good luck to all small businesses that work in this way!
We paid 100% upfront for our order and now approaching 20 weeks on, we do not have our items or a delivery date. We are all in favour of supporting small businesses who work honestly and provide excellent levels of customer service - but this is an absolute joke. Avoid at all costs.

Thank you for your review.

It was lovely to meet you in person at our workshop and design your table with you.

From April onwards, we received a high volume of enquiries which our small team simply couldn’t keep up with. We therefore had to temporary close our phone lines and begin operating via email/online chat, so that we could get back to all enquiries within a reasonable time-frame, whilst keeping good contact with existing clients. This was stated in our emails and website.

Your order was for a couple of completely bespoke pieces and as mentioned throughout our website (and stated in our email correspondence) with projects such as this, it’s difficult to give a definite time-frame, as there are many factors that go into production.

In this case, we were delayed by a third-party supplier who was hand-making an upholstered bench and himself, encountered a delay in materials arriving.

We did keep you informed on the above and also offered for one part of your order to be delivered first (the table), to minimise inconvenience.

In total, your order was delayed by 4 weeks, due to an issue which was completely out of our hands but we do appreciate your feedback.

We hope that despite the short delay, you are pleased with your bespoke pieces and that you create many happy memories around your table :)
