A Birthday Trip of Dreams – Thanks to The Thinking Traveller

For my 40th birthday, my husband surprised me with the most unforgettable trip – a week of pure magic in Lefkada, all organised through The Thinking Traveller. From the very beginning, their team was exceptional. They offered thoughtful advice, tailored recommendations, and unwavering support throughout the entire booking process. My husband admitted he couldn’t have planned something so seamless and special without their help.

The villa itself was absolute perfection – beautifully appointed, immaculately maintained, and the perfect setting for a truly memorable escape. What stood out even more, though, was the level of care we received. When a couple of minor issues arose (completely outside of their control), the team went above and beyond to ensure our experience remained flawless. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

We honestly can’t speak more highly of The Thinking Traveller. Their service, attention to detail, and warm hospitality exceeded all expectations. Part of me wants to keep them a secret so we can still snag our dream villa next year! But truly – book with confidence. You won’t be disappointed.

I was able to call her when we were in Parros and ask questions and she was always so eager and helpful. Truly cannot say enough about her and we adored the house as well. The Villa was spectacular. The view was amazing, waking up with a view of mount Etna was quite a treat. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Gina And Mr. T kept the Villa immaculate and made us two amazing meals. My favorite was the eggplant Parmesan and the Campanada. Also, they made pasta à la Norma, which is a favorite in Sicily. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to make meals. We enjoyed the pool and the ping-pong table each day. There was plenty of room around the grounds for the kids to run around. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. I would highly recommend a stay at Villa Saracina.

It was a seamless experience dealing with The Thinking Traveller, All arrangements were executed with ease. The villa Jasmine at Kalami Bay was simply superb for our two week stay. It is so hard to find a true Corfiot villa with the bedrooms and bathrooms required for an adult family with partners but Jasmine exceeded expectation. Aircon in all bedrooms, plenty of outdoor and covered space and an infinity edged pool with the most wonderful views. All round exceptional.

Incredibly responsive, attentive and professional. Consistent check-ins and available for any needs or concerns. Highly appreciated the twice weekly house cleaning. Will definitely use this agency again as they are trustworthy and live up to expectations.

The villa I rented in Pazzallo was fun and well organized. It’s quirky because the seaside is for views as it’s a rocky beach but the pool is on the other side and provides a peaceful quiet atmosphere. The owner left basics like coffee, some fruit and other snacks. It was a blissful 10 days.

The next time I travel to Italy I will definitely be using The Thinking Traveler. It was like having your own personal concierge from start to finish. My initial booking with Grace was amazing. She was so helpful in choosing the right location in Sicily and then the right villa for our large group. Melissa was awesome helping us plan all our excursions, car rentals, daily chef service, and honestly anything we needed. During our stay both Melissa and Annalisa were in touch daily helping us with last minute details. They helped with last minute dinner reservations, beach reservations, massages, transfers etc. The service was flawless and I honestly cannot say enough about their team. They made you feel like family. I am grateful to The Thinking Traveler for making my mom's 80th birthday so special. And of course I have to give a shout out to our amazing chef Francesco who prepared 4 lovely meals during our stay. And to Davide who manages the gorgeous La Favorita villa and was so helpful with every little extra detail during our stay. You won't be disappointed. It's a special place with a top notch team managing your experience.

Villa was even better than photos and description. Artemis the local agent was incredibly helpful with restaurant and activity reservations. Booking staff was also great with villa selection and made the process seamless.

Everything worked perfectly, the transfers were easy and it was lovely to arrive on (and leave) the island in a RIB. The villa was beautiful with fantastic views. The islanders were so friendly and helpful and the food and wine was consistently of a high standard. Christiana, the island host, was faultless and made sure everything was exactly as we wanted it.

We booked our trip to Sicily through The Thinking Traveler and had an amazing experience from start to finish. Our initial contact, Jonathan, was outstanding and set the tone for the whole trip. Barbara, Giovanna, and Federica — our local contacts in East Sicily — were equally fantastic. They helped with dinner reservations, beach trips, winery tours, and any questions we had along the way. Grace helped me select the villa to rent based on our needs. Once booked the local team worked with me on experiences, airport transfers, car rentals and dinner reservations. Everyone was supportive, knowledgeable and kind. The property was exceptional and we had a fabulous week.

Booking agent was very efficient during process and local agents were excellent when I arrived at the rental house. good local advice and dealt with every issue quickly. only negative was slight misrepresentation of the property which was very near the airport (even if the planes did not fly directly overhead).
