Beware!!!
Agency appears to be a scam at worst, or unscrupulous at best. They were very polite and helpful when I booked an airfare for a Spirit Airlines flight through them. However, I thought the price seemed high and checked Spirit's website only to discover that The Travel Tie charged me $100 more for the ticket than I could book myself, and worse added a "service fee" (called nonrefundable taxes) of more than $200. So in total the ticket was $310 more than when booked directly through the airline. What kind of legitimate travel agency upcharges like that? Cancelled ticket with The Travel Tie and then booked directly with Spirit myself. When I cancelled I was immediately refunded the ticket price and The Travel Tie is saying that they will "look into" refunding their service fee. If they do, I will update my review to reflect that they are an honest agency...but until then, beware!
