Shocking job, the bamboo floors did not adhere properly, the beading was the wrong colour, and I was lied to and stuffed around. Steer well clear.

Shafique and his team restored our parquet floor and supplied laminate flooring for our kitchen. The service was fantastic from start to finish: friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, punctual and professional. They were able to offer useful advice, and adapt to our needs and timeframe. The floor looks totally brilliant, and we would recommend their service unreservedly.

After visiting the store they contacted me very quickly to arrange a site visit, followed swiftly by an acceptable quote. They fitted two bedrooms with new flooring on one day, and had no issues with fitting at a weekend!

Couldn't have asked for better service, and the quality of the flooring I chose is just exceptional.

I recently had an awful experience with the ultimate flooring company. I live locally and thought by paying a premium I would end up with a high quality finish. However they destroyed my floor, walls and skirting. Despite giving them an opportunity to rectify a truly awful first attempt, the second 'finished' attempt includes a number of obvious discolorations. We hadn't even realised they had finished as they just upped tools and left, with no acknowledgement of/apology for the damage done to our walls and skirting. The owner is refusing to refund me so we’re escalating to the ombudsman and I’ll take him to court if I have to. Shocking experience.

Responding to the seller's reply:
I just wanted to address a few points from your reply:

1. I have pictures of your sample square vs your finished first attempt, which I am unable to post here unfortunately. However, they are in no way alike, and I can confirm it was certainly a patchy finish where you can still see the natural colour of the wood was certainly not acceptable for us. … I would add that your own workmen said you had neglected to use any primer as a base in your first attempt, and hence the reason for the natural wood colour showing through and uneven finish

2. I also have a video of the entire perimeter of our double reception rooms, showing clearly that the damage caused was not to a ‘small amount of skirting paint’ as you say, but the entire perimeter of the rooms.

3. Please note that while you may consider the cost of repairing the damage to be ‘highly inflated’, this was the sum we had to pay to a decorator to repair the woodwork, and clearly it was not as minor an undertaking as you have tried to portray. As per my original review, in addition to this were marked walls which also had to be made good. … As a further note to this, I note that you and your workers left our home in this condition without a word to us to acknowledge or apologise for the damage. Indeed, your next communication to us was merely your invoice for full and final payment – again, with no word of apology or acknowledgement of how you had left our property.

4. You are correct that I was extremely naïve (at best) to seek to settle payment so quickly. Due to your having stacked the furniture in the centre of the rooms, and through the hallway (and having left them that way when you finished) I had been unable to inspect the flooring in its entirety, and was largely distracted by the more immediate and obvious issue of the damage done to our skirting and walls. I clearly regret settling payment too promptly, as I subsequently noticed several defects in your finish, as pictured in my google review

5. I don’t intend to conduct our dispute on this forum. The purpose of my review is merely to show prospective customers two ‘finished’ attempts (which can be seen on my google review), BOTH of which you seem to stand by as representative of the quality of your work. On this basis, they can consider if they would be pleased to pay for this level of finish.

We used Shafique and his team to sand and re-finish the engineered floorboards our kitchen and hallway. They did an amazing job - the results are much better than we imagined - and all with hardly any dust or mess.

Shafique was knowledgeable, helpful and obviously takes pride in his work. We'll be using Ultimate Flooring again to lay laminate flooring in our loft and would definitely recommend them!

We had a serious problem with a basement kitchen floor, which Shafique and his team have corrected.

The advice given and the quality of the workmanship and product has been super and they made it really easy for us. The guys cleaned everything up for us - were extremely puntual and courteous.

This is not the first time my husband and I have used Ultimate Flooring for our wood flooring installation. We've moved several times and have always gone back to Shafique for 2 reasons: (1) his product knowledge and (2) friendly customer service. As with all renovation projects, we are realistic about the potential hiccups that one is to expect but it is the way that the problems are being dealt with that makes the difference and Shafique always tries his very best to find a solution for everything in the fastest turnaround time possible. I would have no hesitation in recommending Shafique and his team to others.

Liked the open spirit of the team to take on a challenge which they have not done before. Our structured wooden oak kitchen floor had to be cleaned and refurbished, which apart from just buffering included also manually cleaning it with unusual method to the team. Result was on time an amazing after all.
