HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM START TO FINISH! DOES NOT DESERVE EVEN ONE STAR! TRIED TO ORDER TWICE ONLINE, (no luck). ORDERED BY PHONE, ALSO A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! THOUGHT ORDER WENT THROUGH, WAITED FOR ORDER TOO LONG. CALLED. THEY DIDN'T PROCESS MY CREDIT CARD AND CANCELLED THE ORDER. NO CALL!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!

I placed an order with this store from overseas. The next day, the store cancels my order and bans me because they suspect fraud!! I asked the operator to connect me to the person in-charge, but they refused to talk to me or give me any explanation. Literally banning me!!! When I pressed, the woman became agitated and rude.

You would think for a business that's been around for about 80 years, they would understand customer service!!

Tried to a website order using Firefox browser but couldn't complete my transaction! Went to their online 'Help' people who said Vermont Country Store's payment site only uses Chrome and Microsoft browsers - then the 'Help' person froze me from responding and left the chat without notifying me that he'd left. I actually had to phone their customer service line to place my order! So instead of spending five minutes placing an order I was diddling around with this outfit for over 45 minutes. To her credit, the person I spoke with to place my order was great. I've been a VCS customer for years - but this will be my last order until they bring their online ordering into the current century.

Ordered the $ 140.00 sheets - crisp air, but the pillow case fell apart after 12 uses. Called customer service, and they said there's nothing they can do; it's wear and tear. They used cheap material and wouldn't even help me out, despite me telling them I had purchased three sets in total. That's almost $500.00 in sheet sets!!! Horrible quality, horrible customer service. They don't back the items they sell. they need to stick to candy.

To all of you complaining about the quality of the merch you got from this company, you were likely doing business with a scammer. The REAL Vermont Country Store has a 9 point Customer Bill of Rights, including standing behind their products. Verify who you're doing business with. I wish I had.

Ordered 2 runner rugs. When they came they smelled strongly of mold. When I tried to do an online return, they wanted me to pay to return them. I emailed that that that was unacceptable and they never replied.

First time ordering and will never order again! Ordered a Persian type rug, was sent the wrong rug so it was returned for a refund. Somehow this company is confusing me with other people or just trying to scam me out of my return money. I can’t tell. I’ve called in three times and emailed dozens but they want me to keep calling in like I have nothing else to do? I have my own business and would never treat any one like this. They are making me call my bank to dispute and report a states attorney complaint for fraud
It’s nice to see others have had similar experiences and I am not alone.

Why would a company act like this? It’s like I’m talking to people who don’t understand the English language

I’m a Vermonter that orders continuously from Vt Country Store. They are legitimate and real if you can buy Lanz night wear cheaper and complain about their prices than buy Lanz of Salzburg elsewhere. I did all my Christmas shopping here Christmas 2024 they were helpful and if something came broken they replaced it. The pie plates were all covered and replaced. I live in Vt. And this store is priced accordingly. If you want cheap from China order from Amazon and pray your orders get delivered on time and at your door. They are truly an amazing store to work with and have been wonderful to me for years. My experience with them has always been great and satisfying. If you get a wrong color maybe you misordered by mistake. Because they go out of their way to rectify anything that is incorrect. I’ve been a customer for many years and always have had no problems with everything I’ve ordered

All of their pajamas run small and once you wash them you cannot return them. I even bought a second pair in a size larger because I love them, but that size was still short at the arms and short of the legs and I am only 5'2" tall. I'm so disappointed! 80 some dollars for pajamas over and over again, so disappointed!

Don't walk-- RUN from this company! Poorly constructed article of clothing made in a foreign country and they charge for return shipping. They need to find American manufacturers who can make quality products.

Order a tablecloth they also charge tax on shipping never heard of that total cost was 27.00 had to return it had to pay shipping to send it back total cost of my credit was only 11.00 such a rip off

Never purchased from them- clothes looked nice in catalog. When they came I realized they were something I could have gotten at Walmart for half the price. Nothing special in the least. No future purchases for me.

THEYRE WONDERFUL. they have items in their catalog you cant find anywhere else in the world because they carry things from a few generations ago at a good price and excellent quality too.

I bought special sheets for about $140.oo
Saved them for special guests. After about 8 washes the top sheet tore. I mended it and each time I washed after that the sheet kind of shredded. When I called the store and customer service they said it had been too long(2 years to be fair) I explained that I had not used them often. She( Angela) said they did not even carry them anymore and nothing they could do. Just a gift card to order a different set would have been nice. No longer a customer. Buying local does not pay off with this company.

Placed an order in September. STILL hasn't arrived as of January 2, 2025. Reached out to them 4 times. They offered me a refund of 70% of ehat I paid. COMPLETE RIPOFF!

Customer service does not exist! If you need to return something, never mind! Just horrible ! They charge $179 for flannel sheets the JC Penney’s charges $59 for! Same identical product! Hope they go out of business!

I purchased several Irish wool sweaters, hoping my mother-in-law would like all of them. They were all excellent quality and authentic. She chose a favorite and the return for the others was seamless.

The Vermont Country Store (VCS) appears to be a cheap, tawdry resale business -- purchasing Chinese junk, then representing it as quality merchandise. The size of the hat I bought was grossly misrepresented. Given the price they charged, I expected the hat to be high quality. No. It was packaged in China in a plastic bag. VCS placed that in a second bag, addressed it, and charged a high enough price that I expected it would at least be shipped in a box. Nope. Cheap hat -- cheap packaging -- third-rate reseller. The VCS must expect that most shoppers will not return an item. I did return the hat, and I'm hoping for a refund. One positive may be that I did not pay for return shipping -- but, I have yet to receive a refund. We'll see.

I placed an order... First time. I didn't get a confirmation email confirming the order. I called customer service the day after I ordered, and they not only couldn't tell me when it would be shipped?, I was also told that I wouldn't receive the order for 9 days???. It's coming from Vermont to Pennsylvania...UNACCEPTABLE... Goodbye Vermont country stores... First time customer, and last time customer. Horrible service.

This is just a warning make sure you are actually ordering from the Vermont Country Store official website. I ordered from a Vermont Country Store website on Facebook and it turned out to be a scam originating in China. I lost my money because it looked authentic
