Very disappointing experience.
I contacted Thistle Waste via WhatsApp on 13 October to arrange the collection of two double bed bases and one double mattress from a property in Anstruther. In my message, I clearly advised that I would be available to provide access after 3:30pm on the agreed day, and this was confirmed as acceptable.
Despite this, I received a call at approximately 11:15am advising that the collection team were outside the property. When I explained that access had only been arranged for after 3:30pm, I was told that the team "couldn't wait around" and that I should find someone else to deal with it.
What was most disappointing was the attitude and customer service. The issue arose because the team attended more than four hours before the agreed time, yet I was made to feel as though it was my responsibility to resolve the problem. The call was then ended abruptly while I was trying to explain the situation.
As a result, I was left scrambling to find an alternative contractor at very short notice. Poor communication, failure to honour agreed arrangements, and unprofessional customer service. Unfortunately, I would not use this company again.
