Superior Manufacturing entered into a one-year agreement with ThomasNet expecting qualified lead generation. The results have not matched what was sold to us:

• Zero leads over the contract term to date
• The vast majority of inbound "leads" have been either competing companies on the ThomasNet platform conducting competitive research, or spam inquiries
• Significant staff time has been diverted to filtering and responding to these non-viable contacts, at the expense of servicing legitimate prospects

We raised these concerns through proper channels and had multiple conversations with ThomasNet. Our most recent contact was Nick Graham, Senior Director of Sales. After two productive-seeming conversations, communication ceased entirely. We have received no response in approximately one month.

The combination of contract cost, lack of return, and disengagement from senior leadership once concerns were raised has resulted in measurable financial harm to our business. Prospective buyers of this service should require specific, enforceable lead-quality standards in writing before signing and should not assume escalation will resolve issues once a contract is in place.

I have been with Thomas net since November 2025. Have not received one order from all the bad players that are sent my way. I am distributor for promotional products and not a manufacturer. The leads I do get , want you to set them up for net 30 terms on six figure orders. Once you tell them you cant give them terms, they block your email from communication - bad players. I learned after I signed a $3,000 contract with Thomas net that if someone clicks on your website, you get charged for that click like $13.00 or so with no way of knowing who is browsing your website. Very Sketchy ! Not happy at all with Thomas registry. Cant wait til my contract is over

The buyer had been searching for several months before finding us, and once connected, the process moved quickly—from initial contact to purchase order in under two weeks. What stands out is the consistency in lead quality. We’re not just getting inquiries—we’re connecting with serious buyers who value responsiveness and technical expertise, which often leads to repeat business and long-term relationships.

I signed up with Thomasnet after speaking with a sales representative who walked me through their platform, shared success stories, and explained that I would have monthly check-ins with a representative to support performance and lead generation.

After onboarding, I had one initial meeting and did not receive any further follow-up or ongoing support as described. Over the six-plus months of being on the platform, I have not received a single qualified lead. The inquiries that did come through were primarily spam, solicitations from other companies, or overseas outreach unrelated to our services.

I raised these concerns directly with Thomasnet, specifically noting the lack of customer support and the absence of legitimate leads. Unfortunately, no meaningful resolution or corrective action was provided. Additionally, there was no proactive outreach from their team to address performance or discuss optimization.

When I requested to cancel or discontinue payment due to the lack of results and services rendered, I was informed that I am obligated to fulfill the full one-year contract. As a result, I am currently paying $400 per month for a service that has produced no measurable return.

For comparison, I have since engaged an SEO provider and have seen significantly better results, including legitimate inbound leads that have converted into actual revenue.

Based on my experience, the service has not delivered on its stated value, and I would not recommend it to others seeking lead generation or business growth.

Thomas Net is the most experienced, professional and upfront database for manufacturers and suppliers. If you go to ThomasNet.com, you will see it is a vast representation of all of the major players in manufacturing. Their team is thorough, knowledgeable and responsive with a vast variety of manufacturing website design experience. No one else can come close to their expertise, and number of members. We have been working with them for years and have been very involved during the entire process.

We have been doing business with Thomas Net for nearly 20 years now, they developed, host, and promote our website. Last year we asked them to initiate an SEO program for our website to improve ranking for some specific search queries, an effort that would take the better part of a year to accomplish. Their team was thorough and very easy to work with. They took a deep dive into who we are, what makes our products unique, who uses them (and how they use them), how we go to market, and then developed new web content specific for each market segment. The result is search engine ranking for our website for these queries has been steadily rising since this new content has been implemented. That makes this a successful SEO campaign, and a good value for the money spent.

AVOID

Thomasnet was a bad investment. We got ZERO valid leads from them. when I tried to cancel I was told I needed to submit notice 3 months in advance of auto-renewal of contract. I'm my opinion that is a very shady way to do business. That's a nice way to say this is a SCAM. Save yourself time, money, and energy, and AVOID this company.

Quality of leads = garbage
Value = My money would have been better spent at the local club. At least I would have gotten something for my money.

We have been working with our ThomasNet marketing consultant for more than 10 years. She knows and understands our business. She is able to make recommendations to deliver new business opportunities to us.

We see sales pitches every day from companies offering the latest thing in technology that will double our sales. Unfortunately, we have tried a couple of them, only to find limited or no impact on sales. Tiodize has been listed in Thomas since it was printed in their big books. Now with Thomasnet,com they provide the same access to industrial customers they always have, plus the latest digital advancements.
Thomas' experience in the industrial marketplace sets them apart. We continue to rely on new business driven by our listings with Thomasnet,com and new ideas our Thomasnet rep, Norma Mazzarella brings us because she takes the time to thoroughly understand our business.
