There payment plans are okay compared…
There payment plans are okay compared to other places and I like that you can defer a payment however the wait time for your loan and customer service is subpar I started my loan renewal on a Thursday morning and I didn’t receive my loan till Monday I understand that things get busy but that was ridiculous

So first off
Edit September 29: Guess what? I’m here with a lovely little update! Last night they took 2 payments from my account without telling me they would take a second payment. The department I need to talk to is closed for now but I can’t wait to discuss this one with them!
So first off, I hate how they take your payment the day before your actual pay day. This is a recipe for disaster and has certainly caused some. I had explained over and over to them if there is no money in the account my bank will bounce the payment.
They kept pushing back saying that I had overdraft protection (I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT!!!) They went so far as to gaslight me and say I must have it and don’t know it. I called my bank and they CONFIRMED I do not have it and when going back to Thunderloan they were like “it will be fine, we do this all the time.” And it was fine… at first.
1. IF your bank decides to be nice and cover you without bouncing (because you DON’T HAVE OVERDRAFT) they charge you an overdraft fee of $5 so I incurred additional fees for this for my payments until one day (it’s a real shocker here) my bank decides to bounce my payment and all heck breaks loose with fees spiralling everywhere.
On top of this, I had been sick and missing work so also struggling financially. I made an arrangement for $50 bi monthly for the next 4 payments. (I have it in writing!) The first 3 went through fine. The 4th payment came out as $59.70.
Thankfully I had enough but that was downright dirty! I call them to ask what the h is going on. Their excuse was oh this is just something our system calculated. I was like ok but why and why did no one inform me?
Their excuse was “we didn’t even know ourselves that this was going to happen” WHAAAAAAATTTTT? YOU CANT TAKE INCORRECT PAYMENTS OUT OF PEOPLE’S accounts! YOU NEED TO LET THEM KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH TO EXPECT! What kind of dirty underhanded bs is this?
Anyway. I don’t trust this company to take money out of my account. How many other “miscalculations” will they take? A little bit here, a little bit there? Nope. Buyer beware.
