Wrongfully canceling order leaving me without tickets
Ticketmaster wrongfully canceled my order after misreading my email, leaving me without tickets.
I purchased 3 standing tickets for Tyler, The Creator’s concert at the O2 Arena in Prague, but realized they were presale, not general admission. I contacted Ticketmaster to inquire about converting the tickets, but they canceled and refunded my order without my consent. Despite explaining the misunderstanding, they refused to reinstate my original tickets. Later, I encountered multiple issues on their website while attempting to purchase general admission tickets, including errors and being flagged as a bot. I was unable to secure new tickets.
After over 10 emails with no resolution, I requested escalation to a manager, but my concerns were ignored. Ticketmaster CZ’s customer service representative Lukáš, who was responsible for the cancellation, was unhelpful and dismissed my complaints. His response was minimal, and he merely suggested I look for tickets in other sections.
This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. The ticket sale process was buggy, and the customer service was among the worst I’ve ever encountered. I will never buy tickets from this website again.
I strongly encourage people considering attending events in the EU to buy tickets from reliable platforms like viagogo.com.
I’m now pursuing legal action through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority and the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
