I ordered a lot of coffee from ticoshopping.com. It took exactly 2 weeks for the package to arrive from Costa Rica to my home. I'm from EU and customs fees were ok. The shipping fees were expensive, but the delivery was made through an international tracked DHL service. Everything went smooth. They even have an English speaking whatsapp service for customer support. 5 stars experience, I will order again for sure.
I have been waiting 3 monts for my product and 2 months for my refund for a product I never received. They say it’s fedex fault and will not honour any sort of refund. I have pages and pages of calls and communication with them, and simple answer is no. Do not buy from them.
Well it's been over six months, they're friendly over email, however their only job is having the product ordered shipped and delivered to the customer. I live in Canada, shouldn't be hard. Still havnt seen the product, asked for my money back starting months ago, still havnt seen that either. Don't buy from these guys, it's a scam. Order #38315 if you actually want to fix this issue.
When I traveled to Costa Rica a while back I sort of fell in love with their plantain chips and Jet energy drink. One of the only places I could find that sold Jet was Tico Shopping, so I ordered a sizable quantity to get free US shipping.
The total package weighed roughly 35lbs with 24 bottles of Jet, three bags of chips, and some hard candies. When it arrived, the contents were all mixed up in the packing peanuts, which I personally didn't mind and thought was funny when I opened the box, but if you expect a package where the contents arrive arranged in an orderly fashion, don't; after bouncing around on planes and trucks and through customs, everything gets jumbled. The chips arrived very crushed (which I sort of anticipated), so I wouldn't recommend ordering crushable items and heavy items in the same order if it can be helped. It didn't really bother me though, they taste the same and that's what matters lol.
Prices are a bit on the expensive side compared to what I remember Costa Rican prices being and even compared to similar US goods, but with shipping costs and other fees, it makes sense.
They shipped via International Bonded Couriers and it took about 15 days to arrive from CR to the Pacific Northwest, US.
All in all, it's a great service to buy Costa Rican goods that may otherwise be challenging to get your hands on! I would recommend them and will likely make purchases in the future when I get another craving.
