My problem was addressed very well by both Tide and Ma'am. I am satisfied with Tite's service. Khushi arora
I would personally would not recommend this bank. i joined just over a year ago because the savings account interest rate was one of the best i could find, 3.85%. since joining, this rate has now dropped to 2%. rendering the whole switch pointless. they also charge you 20p for every transaction after the "joining up" period is over.

I've been a Tide customer since the start of the year when I moved my entire business bank accounting away from Santander (who were equally poor in their own way).
I was attracted by the high interest rates on reserves and the promise of a slick, online focussed service.
While the core of the service is actually pretty decent it is let down hugely by a number of things:
- The app is plastered with adverts for funding options and partner discounts.
- The app also tries to make you categorise payments and use their service to manage your business financially. I never wanted this as I have accountants and software to do this. There is seemingly no way to minimise this so it just gets in the way.
- Customer service involves drawn out web chat conversations that take an age to resolve.
- They send me unsolicited and unwanted emails about HMRC deadlines. Infuriatingly you cannot unsubscribe from these.
- Large payments are held for security reasons and then you have to contact them to get this resolved.
I wanted a bank that offered simplicity and Tide has turned out to be the opposite - I don't think that for £25 a month you should be bombarded with ads nor should you have your communication limited to fiddly and time consuming web chats. You can contact them by phone but everything is redirected to a chat to reach a resolution.
It's a real shame Tide have ruined what is fundamentally a really good product. Are other banks better? Maybe but I imagine this is the level of service we're all looking at given the ever increasing ens**ttification of our our digital services.

Mihaela worked extremely hard to help us resolve some minor issues. She kept constant communication with me right up until it was all sorted. Excellent customer service!
Thank Mihaela

Can’t see if my cash deposit in post office has gone through! No way to see pending payments!! I’ve waited over 24 hours and getting no physical reassurance that they can track where my money is. I need to make payments as it is end of the month.
Edit: response to comment. I have done what is asked and there is no response from email! I gave the complaint and I’m doing everything asked. I need a response urbently
Edit: response number 2- my company is Andu Ethiopian vegan ltd

This guy Venky was very professional explaining all the benefits and offers with Tide.
Nothing good to say about Tide! Had a business account for 18 months. Continually harassed by tide staff trying to sell me products. Constant problems with the Mastercard provided as it is not recognised as a debit card. It is classed as a prepaid Mastercard. Make sure you use a proper bank who are customer focused. I have closed my tide account and moved to NatWest

Atm took my money back out of machine. Tide have taken ages to respomd to any correspondance. Leaving me with no money for over a week now and still nothing. Had to respomd in 48 hours and have ignored my problem

I am extremely disappointed with my experience.
I started my business recently and opened this account to manage my finances, expecting reliability and support. However, since 5 March, I have been dealing with an unresolved transaction, and as of today (29 April), my money is still not properly returned or clarified.
The transaction relates to a cancelled order where payment was taken, but the merchant confirmed they do not hold the funds. Despite providing all required evidence and following every step requested by support, the issue has still not been resolved.
This has caused unnecessary stress and disruption to my business. As a small business owner, access to funds is critical, and delays like this are simply not acceptable.
What is most frustrating is the lack of clear communication and the time it takes to move the case forward. I have had to repeatedly explain the situation and provide the same information, which makes the process even more difficult.
I chose this service to support my business, but this experience has made me lose confidence. I would rather pay more for a service I can trust than deal with this level of uncertainty.
If this issue is not resolved urgently, I will be escalating the matter further and reconsidering continuing with this account.
