Not even a countdown at the party to midnight. Not worth it. Website gives so many false impressions. Was always a dream to go and it sucked.

1st venue had no dance floor. It was just sitting at a bar (not much fun on your own) 2nd venue had ran out of alcohol by 10.30 and there was no count down or anything for the new year. 3rd venue ticket was useless didn't get me anything (ie i had to pay for drinks)

The queues are horrendous and be prepared to have to walk miles to actually get into the section to get to the bars. Luckily we skipped the first bar on our 'crawl' and managed to blag into the next one ahead of the time on the ticket or we'd have still been queuing at the first one by the time the ball dropped!

Once in a bar there are no complaints about the food or drink!

You've no chance of actually seeing the ball drop either unless you leave the bar you're in by 10pm as the NYPD shut all the roads off so you can't just wander into Times Square. You'll just be stood behind a barricade watching a crowd facing something you can't see.

Also, be prepared to give up several hours of your time to collect your tickets and wristbands.

Overall it'd be cheaper to just find a nice bar and actually pay for your drinks and watch the whole thing on a big screen. Still a fun night, but not really for the reasons you'd expect!

We were issued the wrong tickets/wristbands earlier in the week and had to return to Hotel Pennsylvania (at 9.00pm NYE) to exchange our tickets and wristbands for the correct ones. We were fortunate that the distribution centre was still open and I believe we were the last customers of the night. This experience put a real dampener on our night.

The given locations were to far away from each other to make it on time from one location to the next.
As the Time Square site is completely fenced off for safety reasons, it was difficult to enter, it would have helped if there was a kind of signing system.
At some locations their was too litle staff, and thus impossible to get a drink.
At some locations the drinks were of a low quality.
Positive note was that we got near Times Square without standing in line as from the early morning, but we never actually got at Times Square.
