I am giving my honest review about this…

I am giving my honest review about this company who pollarded several trees in July this year (2025) and my encouter with the person who came called Toby. Unfortunately, I have had a very bad experience and having dealt with this company caused me losing £1,500 from my own pocket on top of £1,900 paid to Toby. They showed incompetence, due care and lack of skill, to cut back a Wisteria climber. Despite, having agreed to pay £1,700 to pollard 3 trees which were done by Toby's crew members (who did not wear the correct harness in breach of health & safety, resulting in neighbours reporting me to the enforcement officers), Toby also misled me to do further works a few days later at further costs totalling £1,900 altogether ie cutting back the wisteria from a 1st floor level, as this growth was reaching the roof, satellite dish and chimney.

When Toby returned, I realised he was not fit for the job but, he misrepresented he was capable of cutting the Wisteria branches and that he was adamant he would not cut any cables. Soon I discovered the EE cables from my flat and the flat below were cut. He denied the cables were cut at first but, when he was proven wrong, he did not apologise. We were without any internet and landline until engineers arrived 2 days later. I lost appointments and business as a result and lost footage from my doorbell cameras which was very inconvenient.

Soon afterwards, I realised additioally, he had cut recklessly, the satellite cables too which, resulted in no television for 2 weeks until engineers arrived.

All these inconveniences, such as neighbour complaints, cables being cut wasn't the end. It turned out this unprofessionalism and lack of attention and integrity came to light when my neighbour from the flat above, reported to me, the Wisteria had been untouched and instead had engulfed around the chimney stack, damaging the pointing, because, since July 2025, when the job was meant to have been carried out, he had not cut the main Wisteria branches from the 1st floor. The Wisteria therefore has now continued to grow to the roof!

When I complained directly to this company, Toby promised since 3 months ago and upon his return from a holiday, he would return to cut the Wisteria and do the job he had been paid for. After he said he was back, since a month ago, he promised he would come within a week, but since then he has instead ignored my messages!

This bad experience made me concerned of their unscrupulousness. I had to chase him for a paid invoice, they were even reluctant to provide me with. Toby did not bother to cut the Elderflower either he was supposed to do, and not only did he cut all these cables (TV, satellite, landline), putting me at a loss and pain for 2 weeks, I also incurred extra charges of £1,500 to cut the Wisteria on the roof which had already reached there, in order to repair the pointing on the chimney stack. Now I have to look for elsewhere for a tree surgeon to cut the climber from the first floor level or to cut it completely.

I am planning to report this company to Trading Standards especially, given the lack of harness used by the company's staff. They were incompetent, reckless and dishonest. I just wanted to share my truthful experience.
