CAUTION very poor experience… toplightbox
I had a very poor experience with toplightbox.com and would strongly advise caution when dealing with this company.
Before placing the order, I clearly sent a reference image showing exactly how I wanted the sign to look. They confirmed that they could produce the same design and quality. Based on this agreement, I proceeded to pay the full amount (459 EUR).
After payment was made, their approach completely changed. Instead of delivering what was agreed, they tried to offer a product that was significantly different from the original design and looked cheap and low quality compared to what had been promised.
I then requested a refund. From that point, the process became extremely frustrating and time-consuming. I was given multiple conflicting excuses:
- First they claimed they could not do a bank transfer
- Then said only PayPal was possible
- Then said IBAN refunds were not working
- Then asked me to wait 3 days
- Then asked me to wait 20 days due to “technical issues”
There was no clear or consistent communication at any stage.
The situation escalated further when I was contacted by phone. The representative was extremely rude, raising their voice and behaving in a completely unprofessional manner. Instead of resolving the issue, they continued to delay and avoid processing the refund.
In the end, the money was refunded without the need to proceed with a SWIFT recall, but only after I applied significant pressure and clearly stated that I would report the matter to Chinese authorities and initiate a bank recall process.
The entire refund process took around two weeks and caused unnecessary stress and wasted time.
Even after the refund was completed, I continued to receive rude and unprofessional WhatsApp messages from the company representative, including comments such as:
“Bye bye” and “Hope we don’t meet again.” (This is the reason I decided to leave a review as otherwise I would let it be)
This reflects a complete lack of professionalism and respect towards customers.
Overall, this company demonstrated:
- Lack of transparency
- Poor communication
- Failure to deliver what was agreed
- Resistance and delay in issuing a refund
- Unprofessional and disrespectful behavior
While I did eventually receive my money back, the overall experience was highly negative.
I strongly recommend using secure payment methods or avoiding this company altogether.
