Have been with Topstep for about 3 years and never has any issues with payouts. The rules are clear and easy to follow.

I’ve been with Topstep for around 1.5 years and bought close to 80 accounts in that time. Usually 4 or 5 a month, sometimes more. I’m still learning to trade, so I know I have a lot to improve and I fully accept my own bad trading. If I lose because of my mistakes, that’s on me. But this is not the same thing.
I’m clearly not the kind of person who buys one account, loses it, and then makes up excuses to ask for a freebie. I’ve spent a lot of money with them, never made a withdrawal, and except for the well known plaform problems, I never complained. The problem is TopstepX. More than once the chart froze while I was in a trade. I could not manage my position and when it came back the trade had already moved against me. Sometimes I was even in profit before the freeze. Then suddenly Im in the red and there is nothing I can do.
And the worst part is the customer support. Topstep is more expensive than a lot of competitors, and those competitors are not only cheaper, some of them also let you use Ninjatrader, which is a much better platform than TopstepX. The only thing that used to make topstep worth paying more for was support. Now even that is gone. Today I was sitting in chat waiting 20 to 30 minutes between replies while trying to explain a real platform issue. In the end, they basically hid behind the excuse that I don’t have a video recording of the exact moment it froze. That is ridiculous. No one should have to record their screen all day just in case the platform fails. What annoys me most is that I stayed quiet on other days when this happened on bigger trades, put me on tilt, and ended up burning several accounts in one day. I said nothing. Then the day I finally complain about a much smaller loss, just over $100 on an account that was already close to failing, they act like the problem is mine. So yes, they lost a customer. This evening I already bought my first account with another company… And they lost a customer not only because because the platform is bad but because the support is bad, and when something goes wrong they do not take responsibility.
I would not recommend Topstep to anyone. Too expensive, worse platform than competitors, and terrible support when you actually need help.

One accidental click can destroy months of work, with no appeal and no logic.
I was deeply in profit with multiple payouts behind me when I was flagged for a hedging violation. The evidence was clear: the time difference between entries across different accounts made the violation invalid on its face. One example in the message. No warning. No time to react.
You are one misclick away from losing everything you have built. There is no appeal process, no fair review, and no accountability.
I never write reviews, but I am so frustrated by this experience that I felt compelled to warn others. This platform cannot be trusted with your time or your money. I will not be returning.

A thousand funding firms will come and a thousand other funds will leave, and TOPSTEP will remain at the top. They are and will always be the best, and without paying influencers or using affiliate codes, they are unmatched.

But the haters aren't ready for this conversation.

I got a bug on the TopstepX platform i sent a ticket, and i got answered within 20 mins with someone really professional (his name is Rico) who told me he will contact the team that is in charge of the actual software, wait 15m then got my answer with a fix that is coming + some tips to reduce significantly the frequency of that bug.

Probably on the fastest and best customer support i ever experienced.

Big shoutout to Rico who did an amazing job, this man deserve a raise or at least a bonus (bare minimum for this level of customer support)
