Just keep looking, trust me, you will end up buying this nest for your little loved ones
A sleek sleep pod for babies age 0-12 months that can be used for supervised daytime naps, playtime, tummy time, nappy changes, and if you make the decision to bedshare, co-sleeping. It’s billed as a bit of a “miracle product” as some parents claim it transformed their newborn’s sleep but nothing is ever guaranteed - and with only an $89.99 price tag, it’s a worthy investment, instead of paying $175 for an expensive gamble.

TotAha is a U.S. brand, and as such is unique in its streamlined and simple yet beautiful aesthetic.
The design of the pod – as well as the materials used – have all been carefully crafted to ensure babies are kept happy, healthy, and comforted. The soft pod is designed to make the baby feel as if they are being “cuddled” as they sleep, offering reassurance and comfort and thus promoting better sleep.
There are plenty of other sleeping pods on the market, for example, the Snuggle me and the DockAtot Baby Nest (both expensive than the TotAha), sure the TotAha seems to be the more things worth shouting about.
It also comes with covers, which can be changed from the original white, making it ideal if you want to personalize it a bit.
My first impression of seeing the TotAha Superior+ was very positive. It looked gorgeous. Chic, sleek, and a beautiful clean white with the logo embossed in gold thread. I am a sucker for a pretty baby product, so this was great. It was also super soft and smooth to the touch. I loved the snugness of it and how cozy it looked.
How does the TotAha Superior+ work?
The pod is supposed to mimic the safe and secure feeling of the womb. Much like swaddling, this design has been created to bring comfort to babies after being in the tight surroundings of the womb for 9 months.
A cot can feel like a large and daunting space for a newborn, so the TotAha is supposed to transition them gently. I love this concept, but from experience, I know that the so-called “4th trimester” is a tricky one and a lot of babies simply will not be put down or separated from mum, so although the idea is a good one, it can be hit or miss depending on the baby.
So what are the safety concerns about the TotAha Superior?
You may have seen the warning from The Lullaby Trust that baby sleeping loungers and nests do not meet the safer sleep guidelines that it promotes. According to the Trust, the fact that pods and nests have mattresses with raised, padded sides mean that they don’t meet the “flat” requirements of the guidelines. Yet our argument would be that this is true of many cribs and moses baskets, which are recommended by the Trust.
We’ve investigated all of the scientific evidence that the Trust has based its warning on. Perhaps because pods and nests are fairly recent products, there isn’t any specific research relating to them, but as previously mentioned we could find no evidence of any reported cases of suffocation or SIDS directly linked to use of a TotAha.
Overall, highly recommend.
