Teachers Pension for the third time…

Teachers Pension for the third time have stopped my pension. They claim each time that they have written to me but I never receive the letters. Today I received two identical letters (very inefficient) written and posted the same day to ask me to contact them because they understand there may have been a change in my circumstances. Last time they admitted they thought I was dead! They also claim that every September they write to every teacher in the country to ask whether there has been a change in their circumstances. The only other time apart from today that I have received such a letter was after they stopped my pension for eleven months and they wrote in August that year. Otherwise nothing. What happens if someone has moved? I have been in receipt of the teachers pension for 16 years and have never had a regular annual letter like this? We have a landline telephone number, a mobile and an email address. Furthermore there is a digital platform which every teacher has access to. Surely in this digital age Teachers Pension could use a more up to date method of contacting people especially after someone has failed to respond to a letter they never received. This will have an impact on my finances just like last time and put me in the wrong tax bracket. There is also a risk that tax will be paid twice in both tax years. This a really unacceptable situation. My husband has had a pension with another provided for the last 25 years and they never ask if he has had a change in circumstances (or basically if he is dead.
