Good Distro
Good Distro, They been getting alot of hate on YouTube etc... I understand people are mad about payouts ill also be mad if i dont receive payouts ofc.
but its a new distro im sure they will grow and didnt unitedmasters have problems like trac when they started.
theres one thing i dont understand they collect money from the music platforms then they check and make sure you dont use bots etc... no other distros do that im pretty sure k
Edit1: Thanks for the reply and yeah I completely understand. I wouldn’t like someone to “scam” me if I had a distribution service keep up the good service guys.
Also one more question do you guys plan on adding a payout breakdown like distrokid or something like that.
Edit 2: yeah I know that but some distributors break it down by
Stream Count, Amount (Pay) Per 1000 Streams, Amount Earned With Country Currency for example GBP
Edit 3: so when the time comes for payout (free) do i contact you and get my money or do i have to wait for you guys to make a withdraw button?
Edit 4: If possible I’d say add so artists can download the payout reports where streams are from how much the streams paid etc.. would probably help a lot of people also

Hey Jordan,
Thanks for the review. All of the "hate" as you call it that we're getting on YouTube and on here are from users who are on our Pro plan and are using bots to generate their streams.
Our Pro plan comes with an advanced weekly payout. Advance meaning, we're paying this out of our own pockets UNTIL the streaming platforms pay us. Once they do, then we deduct the advance weekly payouts that we've sent, and pass through the rest.
3 months is a long time to have to wait, so we invented the weekly payout to help artists out along the way until then. It's in our policy, that if you're using bots to generate your streams, you're automatically not eligible for our advance weekly payouts and will have to wait 3 months until the streaming platforms pay us. The users here and on YouTube who post negative things are upset that our algorithm catches them using bots and disqualify them from the advanced weekly payout.
That's the only plan we check for bots on, because it's an advance and therefore do not want to take on the risk of the streaming platforms catching, banning & not paying them, so we operate with all precaution for that plan and that plan only. All other plans work like any other distribution platform.

Yes, we give a breakdown by streaming platform & where the revenue comes from (streams, downloads, sync, etc.) for each month. We give the total earned for that month across all of the streaming platforms.

We have the data to be able to do that, yes. We will build whatever the artist wants. For starters, what we're showing is what we felt would be desirable. But, we're here for you, so do send us ideas/feedback as to what else you'd like and we'll see about making it so.
Edit 3:
You contact us with a screenshot of your wallet screen and we process it manually. That's what we've been doing for many artists now, until PayPal enables withdrawals in our account. By the way, the code is already done and working on our side, we just can't roll it out until PayPal enables that feature in our account. So we're having to manually process all payments until then. Hello Sahil, it seems as if we delivered your release as expected. However, once we do we're not in control as to when the streaming platforms show it to your fans. They should and typically show it on your release date, so it's odd that yours is not findable. We'll push it through again for you to try to nudge it live for them.
As you've said though, your release date is today May 12th, so maybe it just needs a few more hours to show up. Regardless, we'll see what we can do. Sorry for the inconvenience here.

My artist profile is Sweet Pineappo. I chose Trac to distribute a song, named Road, and the process has been incredibly smooth ! I paid only 5 dollars and the song was distributed immediately on Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, Amazon ... after 2 days!
The design is incredibly simple, clean and beautiful. Overall everything exceeds my expectations. I really recommend independent artists to use Trac as I'm a very grateful and very satisfied user.

i have been trying to get my release…
i have been trying to get my release out which should have been out 6 weeks ago but still says pending. the customer services are terrible and have never reply back to any of my messages when having problems. I'm annoyed as i have a schedule to be on and if it is not met then their will be problems as i have events sometimes that would then have to be delayed to a further date which isn't ideal
i need this 100% sorting as i cant afford too many delays

This is not uncommon, but it has nothing to do with us. I can assure you we delivered it to Apple.
99% of the time what typically happens is Apple rejects a release because of the following reasons:
1. Cover art too blurry or has logos that aren’t allowed.
2. Artist marks song as instrumental, but it’s not or visa versa.
3. Artist marks song as explicit, but it’s not or visa versa.
It’s unfortunate that you feel this is the forum to express something that has nothing to do with our platform or service. Please contact support at support@trac.co to figure out what changes you need to make so that Apple will accept your album.

Has potential to be the greatest but…
Has potential to be the greatest with the promises they make, however, there are significant issues (just look it up anywhere where their website is reviewed).
- take long to approve songs and oftentimes despite offering 48hr releases, they might not even release them when they were scheduled weeks in advance
- their support team is next to non-existent, your best bet is via social media and even then..
- promise beyond what they are able to provide
- their analytics are not accurate
- a lot of functions are not actually "real" - as in you can't really use them
All in all, it is a pretty new distributor, so perhaps with time and some popularity it will do well. I kind of wish it would be more rewarding, especially when you're paying nearly $100 annually for their "weekly payments" *another thing they didn't really do*
TLDR: sign up if you want, but be smart about it.. don't take all your old songs from your previous distributor unless you're seeing good results & in my opinion, just wait a bit as they properly settle in as one of the best distributors (potentially).
