I didn't think anything could be worse…

I didn't think anything could be worse than an AI chatbot, but the TracFone customer support proved me wrong.

All I needed was my account number and after literally 30 minutes, they still wouldn't give it to me. They told me how to find it in my phone, which they could have done to start.

Dictorial Service

Got a Tracfone phone after straighttalk screwed my account up. Now I get an email from Tracfone telling me if I don't use my phone I'll loose my number and service!!!

I bought the phone and paid for a years activation and now they're telling me they are going to cancel my phone just because I don't use it every day or don't need to use it everyday???

They say all I have to do is make a phone call or send a text message - who are they to tell me what to do with my phone, one I paid for. Judst another greedy apathetic subsidary of verizon and little more!

Tracfone's forces you to purchase a plan with the phone

Purchased a Moto G Power 2025 from Tracfone to use with my SafeLink Account, and had to also purchase a $15 plan that cannot be used with SafeLink. I called within minutes to cancel the order, but was unable to; the 3rd party delivery person left the phone outside in the snow by the door, so I called to request a return shipping label and was told that wasn't an option. I had to pay UPS $15.84 to return the phone to Tracfone.

when corporations require you to have 2 phones to activate one its a scam. when corporations that are pre-pay require you to give your address its a scam. when corporations get gov to pass laws that force you to buy the product its a scam. but your fr333333 right!

They charged me twice on my Auto Refill…

They charged me twice on my Auto Refill then only refunded a partial amount back on the second charge. On my "third" phone call to recover the missing amount they said it was used for taxes. Then they charged me the full amount again. Now my bank is trying to clear up the matter. What a nightmare!!!!

No Refund

Customer service put a payment on a phone number that is not ours. Despite two long phone conversations and three online chats with customer service, TracFone claimed they could not refund our money and recommended that we dispute the charge with our bank. Really? They can take but not refund money? Obvioulsly, we had no access to the account because it was not our phone number.

No speak English

They're cheap for a reason. The phones are decent and nice. However, if you call customer service, it's going to be a non-native English-speaking Indian person, good luck. You'll get a hello and a bye, but the rest of it is worthless. Don't bother ever calling customer service because you cannot get a native English speaker for troubleshooting and therefore you have no chance of solving your problem. Thank you... come again.

Broken Website - Lots of time wasted to add minutes

Logged in to website from my desktop PC to add minutes a few days ago. Generated a $5 off promo from my points and my points were reduced by 500.
Promo email was never sent but I had saved the code from the web page.
Added an item to my cart and got an error that says "SOMETHING WENT WRONG". I could not get past this error so I logged out and tried again today (from my desktop PC) because my minutes were getting low. I still get the "SOMETHING WENT WRONG" error. Tried logging in from my phone, same error. I called Customer Service and thankfully the agent was able to add minutes but the promo code did not work. If you use tracfone, be ready waste up to an hour just to add minutes due to dealing with a broken website. Also be ready for promo codes that you have earned not to work.

Bought a trackphone at dollar store in…

Bought a trackphone at dollar store in Winamac,In for my friend in a nursing facility. she did not ever have a cell phone and she does not have a phone in her room. i called to activate it and he speant 40 minutes and then he came back to tell me i had and outdated sim card? WHy are they selling it then? told me they would send me a new sim card. It came yesterday and the new one did not work either. I went back to the store I bought it from. 25 minutes away.They told me they could not refund my money. call trackphone. I did and they said the store I boughtm it from had to give me a refund. I called the doller store and they called someone higher up and she said that they could not refuned the mioney. I am getting the run around All I want is to get my refund!!! I do not reccomend this phone or any phone from trackphone' I* guess I am out 70.00! This is BULL CRAP!

My iPhone is completely ZAPPED!!!

YouTube videos I was watching are troubleshooting. The battery is leaking. And worst of all the clock is 2 minutes slow. Tracfone is still synced out of service.

use ANY OTHER phone company

tracfone is probably one of, if not, the worst phone companies. Customer service is a JOKE. They take your money fast but come with a bunch of excuses when it's time to connect your service. ANY OF THE OTHER PHONE COMPANIES ARE A BETTER OPTION THAN THIS DUMP. I bought an airtime card. Loaded it successfully, but the phone won't work. They won't cut the service on until I give some pin I've never had to give before so they could verify my account. if my account wasn't verified why was I able to load the airtime card?? OH! So they could pocket my money without providing service. Spent almost 2 hours on the phone with customer service for them to do nothing but "guarantee service and the problem fixed" if I verify the account. because they knew I wasn't able to. Mind you, I've had this phone for 3 yrs and NEVER had to use a pin to reload the phone.

Use as a fill in

People should understand that this company is in the business of making money. They're not Budget friendly.
Their system for data usage is the worst. These phones eat data. Listen to some music,watch a YouTube movie (short video) next thing you know you're data is gone. I hate this company and I've used TracFone for decades. You would think they would give some free stuff once and awhile. Nope,not these cheap asses.
The good is,reception is very good.
Most phones offered are very good.
FU tracfone for eating data.

tracfone NEW plans (international roaming)

Writing a new review of TRACFONE..
Although they are still lousy using verizon towers..

They finally introduced INTERNATIONAL ROAMING in CANADA & MEXICO on the $50 PLAN. of this day..

They are finally starting to catch somewhat up to the other MVNO, took them forever to do it, but finally the wait is over..
So tracfone is somewhat starting to improve their services.......
Now the next thing for them to start offering little better plans more gigs for the price...
Those that are using TMOBILE & ATT towers stick with that fone for long as possible,
VERIZON is still will be & always will be trash..
They simply refuse still refuse to lease space off the TMOBILE/ATT towers....
(BACKDOOR for TRACFONE service)
