  1. Car Dealer

Written by the company

Who We Are TrackWala is a direct vehicle buyer that pays private sellers a fair price for cars the retail market has left behind. We buy wrecked, damaged, totaled, high-mileage and hard-to-sell vehicles worth roughly $1,500 to $7,000, then remarket them through the nation's largest wholesale auctions. Our tagline says it simply: Don't Drive It? Sell It! We own the middle of the market that nobody else serves well. Carvana, CarMax and franchise dealers sit above us and want clean retail units. Scrap yards and junk buyers sit below us and pay by the pound. TrackWala lives in between, in what we call the value recovery market, where a car is worth far more than scrap but will never sit on a retail lot. The Problem Selling a damaged car today leaves owners with three bad options. They can accept a scrap-weight quote from a junk buyer. They can try a private sale and field lowball offers from strangers. Or they can let the car sit in the driveway while its value drops. The need is large and growing. The US sees 16 to 18 million repairable vehicle claims every year. In 2025, 23.1% of crashed cars were written off, and the average vehicle on the road is now 12.8 years old (CCC Intelligent Solutions, Crash Course 2026). That adds up to a roughly $45 billion wrecked-car market. The players on either side are not built to serve it. Salvage yards struggle to make money on any car that costs more than about $500, because paying auction-level prices breaks their parts model. Retail players like Carvana would have to rebuild their reconditioning centers for heavy body and mechanical work. That leaves sellers of $1,500 to $7,000 cars without a fair buyer.
