Bait and switch scammers. Their website says $99 to get a trade mark renewed then they try to draw your card for $450 when you challenge them on this practice they send you a 2000 word terms of agreement that I never agreed to. Then they charged me $50 to cancel the filing.

i'll echo others - not sure an actual lawyer works for trademark-genius. In my case they kept throwing up roadblocks to doing the application then suggested that to get a refund, i still had to pay them to cancel.
Because of the time period to get this to the finish line, I was then beyond the normal dispute period for the transaction. I believe all of this is by design and the site purely exists to extract money from founders who are short on time and don't have their own personal lawyers.

I wish I had read the reviews before signing up. At this point, I’m convinced there is no attorney actually working with this company, and that someone is relying on AI and Google to navigate the process. It has been beyond frustrating, and the lack of urgency is unbelievable.
It has taken three months of back-and-forth for an application, with repeated statements that an attorney is involved—yet basic common-sense issues keep coming up that any attorney would have caught immediately. The overall experience feels misleading and unprofessional.
I would strongly advise others not to use this company. It will leave you angry and wondering why you didn’t read the reviews first. Do not use them—save yourself the time and stress.

I applied for a trademark for an LLC that my wife and I were starting. I did all of the work and they billed me hundreds of dollars. I had to log into the government site and answer their concerns. The last thing they wanted was a statement of use. I logged into the TradeMark Genius to enter samples of the materials that were to be trademarked.
I then am notified that my trademark was abandoned. I logged back into the TG site and I cannot get anyone to answer any questions, but they say I can apply to have the request revived for around $1000.
They already took me for around 500-600 dollars, they are not getting a dime more from me. This was an expensive lesson on choosing your vendors more wisely.

The $99 advertised fee is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what Trademark Genius actually charges to take you all the way through the entire process. Not only did they not help me get my trademark, they actually gave me the wrong category to file under. Over a period of months, this technicality prevented me from being able to move forward in getting my trademark approved. It was a total waste of time and money. Use some other firm!

Horrible client services, email responses only , Lori was short, curt and was unwilling to call and explain the charges and services. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere to register your trademarks.

Rip off. Believe it because it’s true. I didn’t believe it and I got ripped off.

Having admitted it was their responsibility to match the category of trade mark with the 'sample' (i.e. an example of where the mark is used), they then screwed it up so that the trade mark did not have the right category and was not accepted. They refused to rectify the situation and then neglected to tell me when the application was abandoned! What ever reviewer said this company should not be in business - I agree!

Wow- they got me good. THey charged me the initial $99 fee twice and then charged me $49 because I needed to do a rush order. I was ok with that because I wanted it done as soon as possible. Then we went back and forth with their legal team on the issue with the trademark and they kept changing the issue, basically suggesting I pay another $450 for another "Class" of trademark. WHen I said no, they kept pushing, I kept saying NO... then I said I wanted my money back as this was a waste of time. They sent me a response that said I had to pay $99 to cancel my order LOL,,, what a scam!

This company should be put out of business permanently, I requested a trademark paid for it, unfortunately before I looked at the reviews I paid $99 for a trademark and five minutes afterwards I called them to cancel it and they took a $50 fee. These people are scum.

READ THE FINE PRINT! Here is the deal. You submit $99 to file. In the fine print there is a fee of $450 that is immediately deducted from your bank account too. This is for the government fees. If you want to cancel the transaction, they will NOT return $450 unless you agree in an email to forgo the $99. (Even though they have only sent you automated emails - with no real work at this point). Note: they will also automatically bill you
trademark monitoring for $149 every 3 months unless you notice that upcharge and cancel it. Extremely rude customer service staff...the older lady in particular. Very inflexible and blunt with a strong negative tone. Don't use this firm. A VERY shady experience. They must be raking in thousands from just the cancelled $99 fees.

Horrible customer service. This company leads you on with false advertising. This company also is loaded with hidden fees. This company will tell you one thing and then all the hidden fees come out after you paid for the services.

Our experience with Trademark Genius is that it is a complete waste of money, possibly a scam but we cannot be sure. I would be very careful before trying them. They charged us regularly and it turns out we never received ANY trademark status despite their applications, monitoring, etc. This could partially be our fault as we may not have fully understood the process, but isn't that why you hire a consultant, so they take you through the process from start to finish, especially if they continue to charge you over and over again? To cancel, they actually charged $99 per mark and would not waive the fee, ridiculous! I would stay away and hire a professional trademark attorney.

Used this company to set up a trademark. The trademark was never completely filed and they set me up on some sort of subscription I never agreed to and charged me $149 quarterly. STAY AWAY!

I paid $199 for a Trademark registration. It came with a free trademark montioring service. Somewhere it said the free account would become paid if i do not cancel. They never got the trademark registered, but they did charge me about $1100 for protection on a trademark that did not exist. They would not negotiate on a cancellation. My bank refunded a portion. Cost me $792 for nothing but frustration.

This company is a complete scam. They automatically enrolled me into a MONITORING program which I didn't ask for, I didn't even finish the application once I recognized they were operating a bait and switch program. They advertised one price then quadrupled the cost for the service once my $99 was paid. The other issue was the scam of enrollment into a service I didn't need for a trademark that doesn't exist. They are thieves and should be shut down.
After reading their response, my perspective that they are a bait and switch scam organization remains. Save yourself money and don't look twice. They'll change their ways once they're no longer able to obtain more victims.

Scam. tried to submit multiple transactions before bank blocked transactions. 100% fake scam.

I thought this would be a quick and easy way to get closer to owning my trademark. I couldn't have been more wrong.
After I made my initial purchase and was waiting to hear back from them, I saw a $400 additional charge on my card that I did not authorize. I called immediately and they gave me some BS excuse about how this was an additional fee for the trademark office to continue the process. I told them to cancel it and I would come back at some point when I had the money because there was no way I had $400 right now to proceed.
That was already disheartening because $400 was not the original promised price (which was $50 and I had already paid that.) Fast forward to a few weeks later, and I see yet ANOTHER unauthorized charge on my account for another $150!! Needless to say I called in furious telling them they need to immediately delete any and all payment information I gave them, and I never wanted to do business with them.
How did they respond? They tell me that they can cancel everything, but they are going to charge me a cancelation fee! I told them they must be insane if they think I am going to pay to cancel services when they were the ones who tried to scam me out of almost $600 that I did not consent to.
Avoid this company at all costs - they are scammers.
