Handy way to buy tickets. But when I get emails regarding cheaper tickets I follow their links for my usual journey and it ends up being more expensive. So, use the app, but don’t click the emails.

Stratford is a strange place beyond trainline’s ken

Normally v good but you can not buy a ticket from St Pancras international to Stratford international abd if you try to book to Saxmundham via Stratford international or Stratford London that doesn’t work either. I told them on feedback but have had no response. Disappointed.

Awful service

Too expensive, too confusing to buy, advertise savings but in the end they work out costing more! Useless customer service.

The fact that you can't cancel tickets…

The fact that you can't cancel tickets for a full refund or even at all is absolutely mad.
I'm dyslexic and autistic and I was supposed to book tickets for July but I booked them for June instead. A stupid mistake I know, but I'm only human, we all do stuff like that sometimes. Anyway, my tickets are non refundable. I've just thrown what little money I have down the drain with this company. Just book tickets through the actual train's app, like Greater Anglia etc, it's cheaper and they tend to be more understanding.

Disappointing

Disappointing.
Offered to book me a seat - but when I got my ticket, it stated that there was no seat reservation.

Also if I’d booked last week, it would have been £70
When I booked yesterday, it cost me over £100.
Very frustrating!!

The website was easy to navigate and to book tickets. I transferred the tickets to my phone. This was the good part unfortunately carriages where our seats were reserved were removed from the train consequently we were all crammed in like sardines. I will not be using a train again. Go by coach as you are guaranteed a booked seat.

Easy to navigate website

Easy to navigate website, had problem with my first reservation made with my credit card and transaction failed for some unknown reason. Refund was submitted automatically. Retried another reservation with different credit that was successful.

I booked an open return but when it went through it appears I am travelling out and coming back the same day. There s no way to change it apart from requesting a refund which could take time. Meanwhile I have no return ticket.

I have used Trainline before.

I have used Trainline before without any problem but booking a trip from London to Cornwall, only after paying did they tell me that I would need to contact the train company to book seats. I therefore cancelled, Trainline telling me the money, less a booking fee, would be refunded in five days. Thirteen days later and after a reminder, there is no sign of the money.

BEWARE

BEWARE .

So after an impressive booking process and decent price…

It transpired that even choosing seat type… it’s not until you receive the tickets that you realise your travel group are seated in completely different coaches.

If you need to be seated together, for example .. to chaperone a vulnerable adult …. It’s not good.

In order to change seating involves an additional fee, for a different time with the additional rebooking price.

Very bad indeed.

Great shame 😳
