It's not the same as last year. Always has no jobs available. It seems you're hoarding it.

Please check during North American daytime hours, as 90% of our orders come from North America. Most transcription jobs are taken by noon Asia time, which is intentional on our part. Your account also has access to proofreading jobs, which are available throughout the day and night.

You will receive an email as new jobs become available.

The company's objective is not to accumulate hundreds of pending jobs; rather, we aim to have jobs claimed as quickly as possible.

A great part-time job

Applying didn’t require so many documents and process so I was able to start as soon as I received their email. They have reasonable rules and offer incentives to their staffs which is commendable. Although, the pay per document is in a low range, it is good as a part-time/full-time job because you can work freely on your own time.

Working with Transcriptionstaff.com

I've been working with Transcritpionstaff.com for 9 months now. It is a legitimate company. Payment is always on time. You can work on files at any time and the site allows a lot of flexibility. My only suggestion would be to improve the consistency in guidelines. There were instances before where the internal memo and chat support gave contradicting instructions. But overall, my experience with Transcriptionstaff has been positive.

My Request.

The company pays on time and it is a legit company which have both proofreading and transcribing jobs.

My only request is you split those long jobs into small segment of 40minutes.
My other request is you can raise some pays and in proofreading jobs you can be saying which specific part need to be revised.

In proofreading account please be giving them transcribing jobs too.

Legit Transcribing Website

I found out about this website, I think just a month ago. And I tried it because I badly needed money. I can say that if you're like me, try this website already because I assure you that they are really paying. And they have lots of available items to transcribe.

My Experience as a Freelance Proofreader

I am a person who enjoys learning things despite being in my 50s. I was curious about freelancing, and so I tried applying as a transcriptionist, but was accepted as a proofreader outright. I was elated. I submitted my first job and got very good review. I was very happy earning a little more than $5, I think. I have no experience whatsoever, but in time, I learned to appreciate this job. I enjoyed proofreading. It gave me an opportunity to learn things while listening to different audio recordings. I even contemplated on making this my full-time job in the future. I specialize in legal proceedings since I am working as a Clerk of Court. The only downside to my goal is that, there is not enough job to rely on. The payment also is not that commensurate to the amount of time spent on a more difficult job. I am a passionate worker. I am committed, and I appreciate this opportunity to earn something on the side, but I felt that the compensation is not that inspiring. I hope that the company could make changes in terms of compensation and promotion opportunities. Thank you.

I have 3 suggestions.

I have 3 suggestions.
1. There are jobs with long hours of proofreading or transcribing, if you can divide those long jobs into segment of few minutes like 40minutes it is better. When doing job for few minutes there is high accuracy.
2. Sometimes the work flow of proofreading jobs is a bit low sometimes, so I was suggesting if you can be adding more transcribing jobs in the proofreading area. ( This is for people with proofreading account only)
3. Last but not the least, I was suggesting if jobs have been returned for further revision, you indicate in the proofreading job the area to be rectified so that when a person is proofreading he/she will be keen in that area. This is because sometimes you find maybe the job have been returned only because of punctuation, others because of false start, others because of mishears.

Thank you I appreciate your service.

RACIST COMPANY and SCAM ALERT!!!

I want to talk about my experience with transcriptionstaff. My login ID was iq6723. My account got terminated after I complied for not getting paid on time. Jenny Liu who works for the HR department is rude, entitled and has racist undertones in the way she communicates with her freelances. This company is a scam and takes advantage of it's workers. You terminated my account because I complained about my payment, you went as far as contacting PayPal by lying to them so that they can refund the little payment I had received from you. But I won that case because I provided PayPal with the relevant proof that should that transcriptionstaff is a corrupt, racist transcription company that takes advantage of transcribers. I will not be silenced by you, your treats will not work. This is a warning to all the would be transcribers and clients of transcriptionstaff avoid this company. It's a SCAM full of corrupt and racists and I'm mostly talking about you Jenny Liu. Transcriptionstaff refused to pay me for my work I won't stop until transcriptionstaff gets what's coming to it. Avoid Transcriptionstaff it's a SCAM that will terminate your account without warning and they do see when it nears pay day. Transcriptionstaff will not silence me, and I'll be waiting for your vague and weird response to this and by the way. I have supporting proof to support everything that I've just said above. Transcriptionstaff is a SCAM!!!!!

http://transcriptionstaff.com/review/ianfraud.png contains our correspondence with her, including proof of payment.

While we wholeheartedly support freedom of speech, making false accusations constitutes defamation, which is illegal.

Despite her prior claim that we did not compensate her, we have informed her that payment is not due until 7 days AFTER the conclusion of a pay period (Mon-Sun). So, for instance, work completed from Jun 19-25 is paid on July 3rd. This is clearly stated, with examples, in the first paragraph of our guide. She was compensated according to this payment schedule (On Jul 3), as evidenced by the screenshot we have provided. The payment date itself proves her claim of non-payment is totally baseless. She received the payment exactly on the due date.

We have thousands of contractors from all over the world. In fact, during the sign-up process, we do not ask for a user's location, nor do we place importance on it. We commission transcription services based on ability, not nationality. PayPal also does not disclose a user's location to us, so we have no knowledge of her location. Consequently, her claim of us being racist towards her because she is from Africa is completely unfounded. To put it frankly, our primary concern is the benefit we derive from the relationship, not the location of the individual involved.

Her accusation that we short-changed her is also baseless and constitutes outright defamation. There's no substance to the claim. By how much did we allegedly underpay her? We pay exactly according to her performance report and we had not received any complaints of underpayment until now. We are always open to investigating any claims of non-payment, but we need specific details, not just an ambiguous statement like, "You have not paid me in full".

We are now seeking compensation for all payments made to the freelancer to cover damages incurred due to harm to our reputation caused by her defamation. It appears the freelancer has forgotten that in this relationship, we are the customer and she is the supplier. We reserve the right to purchase from whomever we deem suitable. If a relationship is not profitable, there is no obligation for us to continue buying from her.

I found this company the best

I found this company at my lowest and most desperate time. I applied, did well on my assessment, and got accepted so quickly. The onboarding was easy and the support was accommodating. I got promoted to becoming a Proofreader in less than a month because of my score and work quality. The pay was consistent and fair.
