If you need a reasonably priced electrician in Melbourne (I'm in the Docklands area), I'd definitely recommend Mike and the team at Translec. He took a lot of care to make sure the job was done right, had a chat about the local area while he was working and even cleaned up before he left, which you don't see all that often these days. Very reasonably priced as well.
