Translink train with no toilets a disgrace
We travelled from Portrush to Mossley on Sunday 22nd March. Both myself and my friend needed to use the toilet. After trying 2 carriages where the toilets were out of order we asked the conductor if there were any toilets available. He said they were all out of order. The stench from the one at our carriage was disgusting.
We had to travel the full journey with no toilet access. It was so bad that we, along with others who got off at Mossley West station, could not hold on any longer and had to go into the trees and urinate. Apart from the discomfort and disgrace of having to urinate under a tree, it begs the question. If this was the poor state of service of the toilets, was the mechanical servicing of the trains any better? Where we travelling on a train that was unsafe if not properly maintained?
I would like to ask under the freedom of information for a copy of the train records. If someone from Translink would like to leave contact details I would be happy to share more information. I thought it was only in Third World countries that one would experience this type of thing.
