I was able to sign up for travel insurance easily and quickly at an excellent price. The website made it easy.

They hung up on me/a LOT of hoops to jump through.
A rock hit my windshield on my trip back home and cracked it. The first person transferred me to the wrong department. The second person would not answer my question, saying that she would answer my question after I answered her questions. I just had one question because it was hard to understand her and I wanted to make sure of something. I asked her to please just answer my question. She began speaking over me and unfortunately I returned the favor. She then hung up on me. I understand outsourcing phone banks overseas if the person can speak clearly. The third person I spoke with was very nice but only had canned responses to everything I asked. There are a lot of hoops to jump through to file a claim, and then you have to wait. I saved money getting insurance through Travel Guard instead of through the car rental company, but next time I will pay the extra 10-12 dollars a day so that I can just return it without having to get a police report and four other forms to turn in and then wait for them to get back to me regarding whether it was even approved or not. It was a horrible experience with the information and staff being extremely unhelpful save one nice person. The website is neither easy to navigate nor easily understandable.

I spoke with several staff members before purchasing my policy. All of them were very courteous and knowledgeable. I am very impressed!

Selling bogus insurance scamming people one person at a time. DO NOT BUY TRAVEL INSURANCE through this company they will cover nothing. They also don't specify if you don't see a doctor they won't cover anything. Thought pictures of a broken foot was good enough proof I couldn't fly. Apparently you need a doctor note and for someone without insurance it would've costs 1500 dollars to get a 450 dollar refund. Instead ill make sure I review this company on every sight possible.

I have taken out a travel guard policy for the past dozen or so trips and travel extensively. I have found the value to be exceptional and the claims handling to be fair.

We used Travel Guard for flight insurance as well as for other parts of our trip. A bad winter storm cancelled our first class seats and flight coming home. We incurred other expenses due to the weather cancellation of our flight and an additional day of travel. Travel Guard covered NOTHING!!! We submitted, we appealed and NOTHING was done. All they did was make the process very difficult to apply for our losses when we had coverage. We did not even get a reason for the denial. We lost over $500.00 . Thanks alot Travel Guard. NOT! Travelers beware!!!! Don't use Travel Guard. You will only get frustrated and burned in the end. You made an enjoyable trip turn our traumatic and awful, plus we lost over $500.00 for having insurance for our flights. I hope others read this and decide NOT to use Travel Guard.

Dislike - I finally got a confirmation of our policy/trip insurance AFTER I inquired about it when a few days had passed.

Like - We booked a trip to Costa Rico that we cancelled the day before we were to leave. Luckily, we had Travel Guard insurance and received a 100% refund!

Is there life insurance with the policy. It never directed me to anywhere to put a beneficiary down. My daughter took it out and she had an area to put in a benficiary.

Staff answer the phone right away, they are pleasant and explain things well and there's a choice of three different plans.

I am very disappointed with Travel Guard's claims service. While purchasing the policy was quick and easy, the claims process has been extremely frustrating. It has been over two months since I submitted my claim, along with all required notarized documents.

I have sent the documents three separate times by email and through the claims portal, yet I was repeatedly told they were not received. The lack of communication and long response times have caused unnecessary delays in receiving my reimbursement.

My experience with Travel Guard's claims handling has been very poor and below expectations. Honestly don't waste your money and valuable time with Travel Guard insurances.

I had to cancel my trip and turn in a claim. I have used Travelguard for several trips, but this was the first time I have had to submit a claim. I was nervous since I read some reviews from others that never got reimbursed or months went by with no communication. My claim was for over $28,000 so that was scary to think I'd be out that much money. I followed the process and provided the evidence needed to support the claim. From beginning to end, the process took exactly 1 month. I was reimbursed the full amount of my claim. The insurance was worth every penny. My suggestion is to improve communication while the claim is in process. The statuses on the claim check web page do not consistently update. And there was no direct contact info given to me for my claims adjuster like the email said when the claim was received. So that presented a little fear that I'd be like one of those other bad reviews. But everything turned out great. The adjuster called me and told me the claim was processed and just needed sign off from her manager. I received the check today and my stress is gone :)
