Property was unresponsive once payment made, apart from one offer of a full refund due to their delays replying. Stay never materialised. Refund never received. Currently pursuing through small claims court as travel nest and booking.com totally unwilling to sort despite obvious breach of UK contract law.

***Update 25th December -- So, after my review and the reply below, I got a call from Travelnest promising the refund would be made and they would sort with booking.com. Guess what? Still no refund and contact dried up completely again. Oh well, small claims court action being logged tomorrow***

Had a great stay. Very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our visit. Would definitely stay again if we visit York.

Overall our stay was fantastic. The lodge was modern and clean. The lodge was very well equipped, instructed and easy to use. The hot tub was also set up for us on arrival. The host was also a great communicator, always helpful and quick to answer any enquiry's.

Another bonus was that the clubhouse was right at the door step. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The Old Stables Inn pub was a quick 5 minutes walk from the lodge for some pub grub and drinks!

We had no issues at all with the lodge and had a great stay.

A super comfy apartment, just lacking two sets of keys for if people want to do different things.

This little hidden gem is beautiful full of character and charm and warmth home from home stay. Had everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible definitely worth a visit you won’t be disappointed. Charming hosts. Fully equipped kitchen the standard of cleaning was amazing felt like luxury on a smaller budget just perfect. Get booking you won’t be disappointed. It’s now my favourite place to book. Bonus is its dog friendly 😁

Great apartment, nice facilities, elevator, balcony, great host, close to everything

If I could give this caravan 0 stars, I absolutely would. From start to finish, the experience was an absolute joke. We received a message around 12–1pm on the day of arrival saying the Wi-Fi wasn’t working and the hot tub was unusable, but someone would be out first thing Saturday morning to sort it. Check-in was at 4pm. We arrived at 4:30pm to find the caravan hadn’t been cleaned at all after the previous guests. The smell alone suggested a group of wet dogs had held a stag do inside. There were skid marks in the toilets, dirty bedding, and crumbs over the kitchen surfaces. A cleaner eventually arrived at 5pm to change the beds and clean the kitchen (which was appreciated) but this should have been done long before we got there. On Saturday morning, we messaged regarding the hot tub maintenance. No reply. We tried again. Still no reply. By 8pm, after an entire day wasted waiting, we had given up. The hot tub was never sorted, and the owner didn’t answer a single call or message. We ended up spending most of our holiday trying to sort out problems that should have been resolved before we arrived. But hey — at least the heating works. If you’re thinking of booking this place, save your money and go camping with a paddling pool instead. It’ll be cleaner, better managed, and far less stressful.

Amazing property . Already booked for next year

The warden had no record of our booking . There was a cup in the sink , rubbish in the bin , the smoke alarm had been taken down and there was no battery in it , the wardrobe door was hanging off , the bedroom door didnt close , the bathroom sink cold tap didnt work , the bedding was dirty , there was one dirty hand towel in the bathroom , the mats where dirty . I sleop on the sofa with blankets and pillows from my car .

Lovely quiet place perfect for me to work while in Manchester. Spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything you need. Lovely hosts.

The prooperty itself was seriously lacking. The limited towels were damp upon arrival, the internet did not work, there was no shampoo or amenities and the location of the lockbox was inconvenient. Even though I paid for a 2 nights, I left within 30 mins of arriving as it was not particularly clean and very depressing, but most importantly, no working internet!

Booked a property with them via Airbnb. They cancelled on me after I'd arrived at the property after check-in time. They'd failed to respond to my earlier messages about check in instructions and the phone number given didn't work. Once Airbnb reached them (as I stood for ages in the rain), they sent a single message and ignored my response to it. Unacceptable.

The property on Britton street is advertised that it comes with parking but there is no parking here. Drug taking parties goes on all night and it’s a family street. Not appropriate for this location and is honestly cruel on the residents. Shameful

We want to thank Birger for his hospitality and his warmth during our whole trip. The apartment is close to a norwegian grocery store and 5mins away from a bus stop that takes you right to the airport and the center. This was our ideal accomodation for our trip. We had the time our lives, definitely recommend this place.
