I worked for this company for 3½ years…

I worked for this company for 3½ years and wanted to share my experience so that future employees can make an informed decision.

When I first started, I genuinely loved my job. I enjoyed helping people, working with my team, and being part of what felt like a growing company with a promising future. I gave this company my best effort every single day because I believed hard work and dedication would eventually be recognized.

After proving myself, I was promoted into a management position and was promised a raise. Unfortunately, that raise never came. Instead, I was given a monthly bonus that was based on factors largely outside of my control. In order for me to receive that bonus, everyone had to meet their goals and the abandonment rate had to stay above target. It was never a guaranteed increase in pay, and it was not what I had been promised when I accepted the promotion.

A year and a half after taking on the management role, I asked about the raise I had originally been promised. I was told that all raises had been put on hold and that I would be updated when more information became available. That update never came. Meanwhile, the workload continued to increase.

What made the situation even more frustrating was that another manager who was already in the position before me kept the pay that came with the role. While we faced many of the same responsibilities and challenges, I was given only a small increase of about 10 pesos, which made very little difference in my paycheck. The compensation did not reflect the responsibilities I had taken on.

Over time, I found myself filling multiple roles at once. I wasn't just acting as a manager. I was also taking on the responsibilities of a trainer, supervisor, and agent whenever needed. I rarely said no when asked to come in early, stay late, or take on additional work because I believed someone would eventually recognize my effort and honor the promises that had been made. I truly wanted to earn that raise and prove that I deserved it.

Financially, things became difficult. Despite being in management, I often found myself needing pay advances just to make ends meet. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. Even a modest raise of fifty cents or a dollar would have shown that the company valued my work and recognized the additional responsibilities I had accepted. Instead, that recognition never came.

Eventually, I stopped feeling motivated because it seemed that no matter how much I gave, it was never enough. I asked to be moved back into a position that matched the compensation I was receiving. The company agreed, but by that point the damage had already been done. I no longer felt appreciated or respected. I felt used.

What hurt most was that toward the end, instead of acknowledging the years of effort, dedication, and sacrifices I had made, my work was increasingly questioned. After everything I had contributed, that was incredibly discouraging.

I can't say my entire experience was negative. There were many things I genuinely loved about my job, the people I helped, and the opportunities I had along the way. In the beginning, the company made me feel like I was part of something important and that my future there mattered. Unfortunately, my experience taught me otherwise.

My advice to anyone considering working here is simple: if you are offered a promotion, make sure any changes to your pay are clearly documented and actually take effect before you take on additional responsibilities. Do not spend years waiting for promises to be fulfilled. I share this not out of bitterness, but because I do not want someone else to go through the same disappointment that I did.

This review is based solely on my personal experience after 3½ years with the company.
