I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Fast Growing Trees, particularly regarding their warranty policy and how it has been handled.
I placed my order on May 2, 2026, and received my plants on May 9. Unfortunately, some of the plants did not survive. When I contacted the company, I was told they would not cover them under the one-year guarantee because my order was placed before that guarantee went into effect.
What makes this especially frustrating is the timeline. Just seven days after my plants were delivered, I received an email from Fast Growing Trees advertising their one-year guarantee. In other words, I received my plants on May 9 and received their email promoting the one-year guarantee on May 16.
I understand that companies occasionally change their policies, but this feels particularly unreasonable. These are live plants, and it can take weeks or months to know whether a tree or shrub will successfully establish. My plants failed within the same growing season, yet because my order happened to fall immediately before this policy change, the company is unwilling to stand behind them.
I contacted customer service hoping they would recognize how close my purchase was to the change and extend the same courtesy to a customer whose plants had arrived only seven days before they began promoting the one-year guarantee. Instead, they chose to rely on the technical cutoff date.
I spent a significant amount of money expecting healthy plants and a company that would stand behind what it sells. I am very disappointed with how this was handled.
I would caution other customers to save screenshots of the warranty advertised when they order, as well as every confirmation and promotional email they receive. Based on my experience, I would not assume that Fast Growing Trees will stand behind a plant that fails, even when its warranty policy changes within days of your delivery.

Very healthy trees delivered fast and the level of ongoing customer service is absolutely fantastic. No matter what question I have about the health and care for my trees, they are there me.

The customer service is exceptional. I received 3 baby green giants and one of them died within a few weeks. It was easy to get a replacement and the customer service was excellent

Been a member since Fastgrowing Trees, now changed to Trees.com, actually better quality of plants arriving. Very happy with my replacement from Trees.com, thank you so much!

Their plants and trees are healthy and some rare finds are sold by them. They analyze and give helpful advice on keeping the plant healthy should your plant have a issue. They do stand by their guarantee as well!you can spend a little more for a longer guarantee which really helps. Customer service is great as well.

If I could give you less than one star I would. I spent 600+ dollars buying four trees and four bushes. All four bushes were basically root bound and completely dead upon arrival
Three trees were also root bound and limping along. I’m still not sure if they will survive and one tree was completely dead. It was a waste of 600+ dollars. I contacted you all with pictures descriptions of the problems and I was basically told that there was nothing that could be done. I will never use your company again nor would I ever recommend your company
I would have better luck going outside and picking up a dead branch and planting it

Never ever do business with these people!! They are not honest people. They tried bait and switch by selling me an expensive 6'-7' tree and delivering one that was barely 5' tall. I took a photo and shared it with them. At my insistence, they agreed to ship me a replacement.
This time, they shipped me a dead tree! When I asked for a refund they refused. First, they said their free 1 year warranty didn't cover the dead tree. (It did) By now I was demanding my money back and they were still refusing.
They the then told me that the dead tree wasn't really dead! I confirmed it was dead with a local gardener and again demanded my money back. They again refused to return my money even while politely thanking me for clarifying the situation.
Finally, I told them that I planned to lodge a complaint against trees.com with the Chamber of Commerce and with the California Consumer Protection Agency.
My money was refunded within an hour. Without a word.
Bad people.

⭐ **1 Star — Extremely frustrating experience with Trees.com’s “Alive & Thrive Guarantee”**
I have been a long-time Trees.com customer and have purchased numerous laurels from them over the years without any problems. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has been extremely disappointing.
I purchased five laurels in May 2026. Three of the five subsequently died, despite being planted in the same hedge, on the same watering schedule, and under the same conditions as more than 30 other laurels that are doing well. The affected plants initially turned yellow and eventually died. A scratch test confirmed there was no remaining green tissue.
I contacted Trees.com to make a claim under their **Alive & Thrive Guarantee**. Their AI customer-service representative asked for my order number, details about the plants, how they were cared for, symptoms, delivery date, etc. After going through all of this, the AI actually asked me whether I wanted a **replacement or store credit**. I selected replacement.
I was then transferred to a live representative, who told me the warranty had expired because my order was supposedly covered by a **60-day guarantee**.
This is where things became particularly frustrating.
The current Trees.com website clearly states that the Alive & Thrive Guarantee provides coverage for eligible live plants **“for one year from the date of delivery.”** I pointed this out to the representative and asked them to explain where the policy stated that my purchase was excluded from the one-year guarantee.
Their response was essentially that the website now says one year, but my order supposedly had a 60-day warranty because the policy was changed after I purchased.
If that is truly the case, customers should not be left to discover the distinction only after attempting to make a warranty claim. The website currently presents the guarantee as a one-year guarantee, while customer service is denying my claim based on an older policy that is no longer displayed.
Even worse, the AI representative led me through the entire warranty process and offered me the choice of a replacement before a human representative ultimately denied the claim.
Instead of honoring the guarantee or even attempting to find a reasonable solution for a long-time customer, Trees.com offered me a **30% discount on a future purchase**—after telling me they would not replace the three plants that died.
I am not asking for anything unreasonable. I am asking Trees.com to stand behind the guarantee they advertise and provide the replacement for the three dead laurels.
The entire experience has left me questioning whether the “Alive & Thrive Guarantee” is actually a guarantee customers can rely on when they need it.
**Long-time customer, first warranty claim, and this is how it was handled. Extremely disappointing.**

I purchased a Pink Lemonade Berry 3 gallon. When it arrived there were about 3 leaves that had rusted spots. I pulled those out. I thought nothing of it since the rest of the plant looked healthy. My husband and me went to Florida for vacation, my neighbor would come over and take care of watering our garden. She told us the plant was getting. When we return home that plant was filled with a fungus. We got in contact via email with this company. They gave us tips in how to care for the plant, a very expensive plant. Well, the plant has no leaves and whatever it had, it infected our two other Berry plants. They told they won't return our money and to wait for a year. We tried to respond but they have our email address blocked. Buy from this company at your own risk.

Customer Service really took care of me! From contacting me when I accidentally shipped to the wrong address and when missing one tree in my order. My trees came perfectly packaged and beautiful.
I am very pleased!

I ordered 4 Phenomenal lavender plants (1 gal) and 1 organic everbearing raspberry plant. Due to the shipping company placing them at an angle when delivered some of the plants came out of their pots. I quickly got them put back in and planted them right away. One lavender plant died and I requested a replacement. As soon as more stock came in they sent it out to me. Overall pleased with my plants. Customer service was helpful. Delivery is pretty quick.

I have used this company for years and never had a bad experience. Big healthy plants and if something goes wrong the problem is immediately fixed with no hassles. The customer service department is knowledgeable about the trees and other plants and very helpful is making sure you get what you wanted at a great price with big and healthy plants. I have made numerous purchases over the years and have always felt good about the plants I got and the money paid. I love the excitement of waiting for the delivery of beautiful strong fresh plants to get planted in my yard.

Trees arrived dead and they strung me along till after warranty period was up and then offered a discount for replacements. What a joke. They even changed the name of the company to try and rebrand.

Staff was very helpful and gave me advice on whether further pruning was needed. The plants arrived in good shape (Japanese maples) and I am looking forward to planting them when the weather cools a bit.

I left a one star rating at fast growing trees aka trees.com, but they won't post it. I ordered several trees, one was supposed to be 3 to 5 ft tall. It was barely 3 ft and the trunk was the size of my pinky finger. It died in a month. I ordered another flowering bush, it was so tiny, and no blooms after 6 months. Both were overpriced and undersized. Not worth the money. Go to your local nursery or home improvement store and pick out a healthy plant the size you want. Now trees.com is trying to stop this review also. I won't do business with a company like this again.

Ordered trees and then realized we would not be available when the trees arrived. I called on a Sunday and talked to a person who changed the delivery date for me. She was professional and friendly.

I have been using Trees.com and ordering online for 5 years. I have been pleased with the quality, pricing, careful packaging, fast shipping, customer service, replacement of plants (when it was my vault) and the ability to get replacements, when it was not my vault, and help so I do not plant wrong, or cut foliage back incorrectly, or deal with disease and bugs (Asian beetles) incorrectly. I love the replacement warranty offered and always get extra coverage.

I have been obtaining trees from them for years. Two trees died this year and they would not replace them. Their 1 year guarantee is a joke. They do not back their claims of guarantee .
I did reach out to their customer support twice and they declined to replace them.
