Employee Jack
I dealt from start to finish with a gentleman named Jack. To be totally honest, I cant remember when I last had such great service from a employee/representative. Jack simply could not to enough to ensure that the correct spare part for my ageing Trend router was located and supplied. I received the parts in great time and they are exactly what I required. Thank you Jack and Trend tool tech ...... Do all you can to retain Jack as a member of your staff, that would be my advice

Shocking dust extractor
Shocking dust extractor. Spent £380 on the Trend T35 for a cheaply made plastic pole and not to mention the awful suction once their bags pop after only 15min use therefore the filter then has to be replaced.

An Honourable Company!
I went to D&M's tool show at Kempton on October 11 and I took a voucher with me for £100 worth of Trend tools I'd never redeemed. I got it ages ago when I bought a Trend T11 Router and a Trend Router Table from D&M. Luckily there was no expiry date on the voucher. Trend were surprised, but honoured the voucher and I came away with a good selection of router bits!
I checked up my records and I actually got the voucher in 2018!! Well done Trend!

DO NOT BUY a Trend T7E router
DO NOT BUY a Trend T7E router ! I have just made the mistake of doing so from Amazon. The micro-adjust design is absolutely appalling in principle and is so stiff when engaged that you need a pair of slip-joint grips to turn the adjuster or risk getting blisters on your finger and thumb and a skinned knuckle where it will come into contact with the top of the motor housing. The first, (highest point), of the 8-stage depth gauge adjuster maintains the highest setting for the first two "clicks", then the 2nd to 7th settings are achievable with one "click", (which is correct), but the 8th setting, (lowest), is so badly misaligned that the depth gauge rod is unable to come into contact with it, (hence you only get seven settings instead of eight). The return springs on the micro-adjuster on the fence are too short and do nothing useful at all hence when out of the compression range of the springs you have to pull the die-cast alloy adjuster back, which then jars and binds on the rods. The two collets that are supplied are the cheap type not the professional type.......I could go on but now I need to get on with returning this junk to Amazon, (not their fault - an excellent "digital" company that actually works).

My T18S/R14 18v router refused to start…
My T18S/R14 18v router refused to start up just when I had 5 doors and frames to do. Asked Tech support what I could try to get it working but it was broken. Filled in the repair form and got an email from a very nice lady (Kaytlin) confirming that they would collect and replace the unit (3 year old). Collected the next morning and new unit delivered 48 hours later. I can't fault that for a turnaround service and 5 doors and frames later, its working well again. Good old fashioned service and it didn't cost a penny either. Well happy.

Purchased a t32m extractor which stopped working just after 1 year which was not used very often.The box said it was under a 3 year warranty.I contacted trend which I was told because I had not registered the product it would not be repaired which I had not realised I had to do.I was very disappointed with trend and will not be purchasing any further products from trend.
