They have completely messed up closing our account, we are UK based hence using them for our US operations which we have just fully closed, they closed our account too early (their error) leaving us without the means to pay our last terminated employee. Despite it being their error they say they can't help us. The service throughout our contract with them has been fairly poor. We are expecting within the next two years to reopen US operations, we will not be using TriNet!
TriNet dropped the ball on my 401k…
TriNet dropped the ball on my 401k rollover costing me $1000’s. Not very happy!!
Charged for benefits THREE (3) times on (1) check and can't get my $$$ back!
My company employs Tri-Net as their HR rep.
THEY ARE THE WORST! Charged me (3) pay-cycles for benefits on one check.
I had to appeal and then BEG each week for them to return MY EARNINGS. It's almost $600. Clearly not the end of the world, but is this even legal???
Now they're telling me it's likely to be 60 days. I want to disconnect from this company and seek benefits independently where I am charged correctly and if a mistake is made, they will make it right IMMEDIATELY!
Total B.S.! Don't deal with this company!
TriNet has to be the worst customer…
TriNet has to be the worst customer service company I’ve ever dealt with in my entire life. I worked at a company for about 8 weeks that used TriNet. Open enrollment was July 1 to 31. I enrolled on July 28 thinking insurance would start August 1st. I left the company before I got paid in August, on the 12th. TriNet took out 3 pay checks worth of deductions from my one final check with this company. Justifying it by saying that since I enrolled in July even though it was the end of month, I had coverage all month. My check that should have been $1800 ended up being $800. I explained my situation and being unemployed for a year prior, literally didn’t even get the insurance cards before they took 3 paychecks worth of deductions. I called and asked for a reimbursement because it’s bs, and they responded with legal jargen about how they can keep my month. So they would rather screw over your average American so they can gain $1000 (Pennies to them) then provide good customer service.
Broken website, unhelpful support
There are very serious problems with the website and the customer service support staff I am talking to are able to do absolutely nothing to fix the problems. This is preventing me from enrolling in coverage.
Extremely disturbing upselling on TV etc.
Been over a month and still no benefits access
I've sent in the paperwork for my spouse to be added to my benefits over a month ago and called them 4-5 times. Each time they said to give them a few more days. Their "expected turnaround time" is 5-7 business days. It's been over 23 business days AND STILL NOTHING!! HOW CAN A BENEFITS PROVIDER BE SO INCOMPETENT?!
Trinet has Horrible Customer Service
Why would any decent company force their employees to work with a benefits provider as poor as Trinet. When you call customer service they intentionally do nit assist you, they ask a lot of questions but don't provide you with the answers to your questions. Very unhelpful.
Trinet stole my money and will now not…
Trinet Stole my money and will now not respond as to when I will get it back. It's been almost 3 weeks and no timeline as to when they will return $2750 in FSA money that they took out of my last check.
They took out the entire amount in one check in 2021 that I set up for 2022. Not only that, our benefits with Trinet were cancelled by my employer and we started with another company (for a reason) for 2022.
I've called about 10 times and have gotten the constant runaround and no straight answer and now they finally let me know via email the money would be refunded but gave me no date as to when to expect it or even an apology. It's absolutely ridiculous and I'm reporting this company to the BBB for stealing and not tracking their payroll info correctly and now not responding. I'm done. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY EVER.
Service is horrendous or non-existant
Issues drag on for months. Each rep will give you an answer that's completely contradictory to the previous rep. Then you will get a notice issue resolved. You log on to see the resolution and nothing is there. This has been going on for issue after issue. Waiting for them to resolve so I can just say good riddance. Some are financial issues. Maybe that's why they don't want to resolve the issues? What makes matter worse is their systems are so not intuitive which forces you to rely on their non-existant customer support.
The worst company/system I've ever used.
I don't think I've ever work with or used a company as bad as TriNet. Like so many reviews, their services went to rock bottom lows when they switched their customer service model. You get completely different answers and solutions for the same problem depending on the person assigned to you in the chat. The only part of my job that causes me stress and anxiety is when I know I need to log onto TriNet. As even the simplest task turns into a marathon.
I'm UK based and as part of my Operations role, I handle HR, including our US team. We went with TriNet as they partner with companies to handle HR in the US and take the time and effort out of it, inputting their expertise in the process. I cannot stress this enough: it has taken more time, more stress, and more effort to work with TriNet and their terrible system and customer service than if I were to just handle it all myself.
Their system works day-to-day, just. But if you need to get any information out of it, it takes miracles to do it. Many reports, etc can't be done by you, you have to rely on them to do it. Which they won't unless you really push them.
In our other countries, I'm completely on top of, as the systems we use work. In the US, TriNet makes it VERY difficult.
The admin portal is far from intuative and if you want to generate reports on PTO, good luck.
In one of my recent interactions with our account manager, I summarised by saying that TriNet is useless to the point of abserdity. And I will stand by that for the rest of my life.
AVOID THIS COMPANY.
Ever since Trinet changed their support…
Ever since Trinet changed their support system, their service has been horrible. It takes 24-48 hours to respond. They will close the case without soving the issue.
They have refused to reverse/reissue employee paychecck, I was told that they have a right to refuse to make payroll changes if they don't want to make changes.
Don't sign up with Trinet if you can avoid. Look for another provider if you are current client.
We've been a TriNet customer for over 6…
We've been a TriNet customer for over 6 years and used to love the service. However, they switched support models early this year and it has been a DISASTER! I can reiterate some of the previous responses. The ticket takers have no problem solving ability whatsoever, and you never get a response for your tickets. They've messed up our payroll multiple times and it's impossible to get it fixed. We are actively looking to switch PEO's at the end of our service contract. STAY AWAY!!!!! I never write reviews but felt compelled to warn others... that's truly how bad it is!
Strong support for a small organization
We are a two-person organization that manages everything HR-related through Trinet. They take care of everything seamlessly, follow up well, and answer all of our questions in a timely manner. Have used them for more than 5 years with no issues.
Garbage!
Garbage!
Over sold and under delivered!! TriNet was going to be the answer to all our payroll prayers. I have spent more time on payroll than I ever have. Very little of their system is automated - you have to wait for someone to manually make changes (and correct their errors) and that can take up to 2 WEEKS!!! Really quite unbelievable in 2021!!
Trinet has messed up my paycheck twice
All of these 1 star reviews are spot on. Not only did Trinet admittedly claim they messed up my payroll on my first call with them, but the following calls they wouldn’t admit their fault and condescendingly told me that they couldn’t claim whose fault it was. For reference: I updated my direct deposit account destination in Trinet over a month ago. For the last two cycles they keep sending my paycheck to my old account that I had previously deleted from my profile. I now have to wait an undisclosed amount of time before I can get paid… could honestly not think of a worse customer service experience in my lifetime. They showed 0 sympathy or understanding to a customer who hasn’t received their paycheck to no fault of their own…
TriNet reduced the level of their customer service
TriNet materially reduced the level of customer service. Our experience: Now when you dial in, you get a "Ticket taker" who clearly has no problem solving skills and who verbally gives you a "case number" and says they'll pass it to the engineers (like in Office Space), who the taker says will get back to you in 48-72 hours, no matter how critical the problem. If you ask to speak with a manager to escalate a real time issue, the taker puts you on permanent hold until you hang up. No email confirming the ticket, and so far, no response. That's our experience since they switched models.
They will be handling your payroll, HR, time off, health care, so know what you're getting into.
I'm an admin on Trinet
I'm an admin on Trinet. The customer service is terrible and their tech breaks and they can't fix it. I have two open support cases that are over two weeks old that are preventing me from settling our books. These guys are terrible at helping when something is not working and their systems are poorly designed/organized.
FSA troubles
Nice people answering the phones, but I've overturned literally half of my denied claims just by calling and telling them to re-read my receipts.
It seems like the natural response on the claims team is to send an email rejection saying they need an itemized receipt (which I already provided). The fact that I need to call regularly to explain that they are wrongly rejecting my receipts tells me they either don't want to reimburse their customers or aren't trying hard enough to review documentation.
Discriminatory Workplace
Trinet discriminates against its employees and future employees for a multitude of reasons. The hiring process is long and inaccurate information is provided by HR, Recruiting, and the Hiring Managers throughout the entire process.
Trinet provides excellent service on…
Trinet provides excellent service on all levels. We have trusted them with our payroll and benefits for over 18 years and would not consider even looking at another HR Resource company.
