Dreadful service

Booked a ticket to India for my 70th birthday. . Excited. Booked one way as was not sure when returning. Wanted open return. I cannot change the ticket their system can’t do it. I’ve lost £200 so far. Will need to find another company to help me get back. Appalling service as they only speak like automatons, following a script. No help whatsoever ever. Will never use them again.

Don’t waste your time! Worst most onerous review site to write a review means the reviews are worse than AI - they are ‘communist corporatist’

Submitting a review is now so onerous I don’t think I’ll bother again. Every picture you upload you have to justify it. Also their system only allows you to go back so far in your photo library to select photos.

The bots will also be all over you and accuse you of self promotion or writing a fake review using AI. Example if you mention your (unpaid) YouTube channel (because their video upload service is so inaccessible) then the accuse you - even though they shamelessly market our UNPAID reviews for their own profit. The cheek of it! Also the AI thing was wrong - I wrote it my self and included pics of me clearly there! Who would say ‘as solid as Aberdeen rock’?

The result is anodyne, overly engineered (to reject mine for being AI is totally ironic) reviews from certain types of corporatist and nerdy folk who can withstand the bot worship over the human touch.

Their knee-jerk reaction to fake reviews is targeting the wrong people. Trip Adviser are the Rachel Reeves of review sites for the reviewer - the worst in history and destroying a good company.

Don’t waste hour time!

Trip Advisor sold me tickets for an event today but never sent them

Trip Advisor sold me tickets to an event this afternoon - the site flashed up the 'confirmed' message after I'd entered all my bank details with a confirmation reference number and a promise that my tickets and confirmation had been emailed to me. The email has not arrived. I have just spent nearly two hours on their website dealing with bots who can't recognise or resolve the problem. They have no customer service phone number - I will travel into London and plea with the event organiser to accept the screen shot but its so stressful - I can't recommend anyone buys through Trip Advisor - things go wrong - and there is no way to resolve it - you have just lost your money - unless I guess, you take legal action.

THIS SYSTEM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR TRAVELLERS

I recently had a bad experience at a Yorkshire hotel. I was charged TWICE for ONE room. I submitted a genuine and honest report to Tripadvisor but they refused to publish it saying my review didn't meet their criteria. What a waste of time, clearly it isn't worth using Tripadvisor at all, it isn't fit for purpose.

Trip Advisor is facilitating FAKE…

Trip Advisor is facilitating FAKE REVIEWS which is illegal in the UK.

I have no problem with Trip Advisor publishing REAL reviews, but only if the person has ACTUALLY EXPERIENCED the business.

Trip Advisor does not care if the person writing the review has actually experienced the business or not.
As long as the review meets Trip Advisors submission guidelines, FAKE reviews stay, good or bad.

Trip Advisor is facilitating FAKE REVIEWS which is illegal in the UK.

"Trip Advisor", Communicate with a brick its easier

Trip Advisor are happy to publish damaging reviews that arent even for your business. So we get a spiteful customer who failed to answer their phone or the door on multiple times of trying...so they are given the choice of paying for delivery (as this would be 3rd attempt) or collecting their order themselves.
so we have 2 businesses a take away and a restaurant. This JUST EAT takeaway customer laeves a spiteful review for the restaurant. You message Trip Advisor to tell them the review is on the wrong business...and we have done this twice..and both times the responce from Trip Advisor is it meets their posting guideline criteria...

Trying to communicate with Trip advisor is like trying to communicate with a brick! A really thick brick! We've had reviews that were complete fabrication.
Trip Advisor need to be accountable...as garbage that is written can have an unfair negative effect....that costs the businesses and even jobs.

They take no notice and consider themselves so superior obviously that they are beyond the law. Well that ends one way...they will lose ...and go under... happens to all the companies that treat people bad. KARMA.

I have somehow obtained two accounts on…

I have somehow obtained two accounts on Trip advisor despite signing in to my original account. I find it impossible to contact Trip advisor via my account to merge the two accounts. I have followed the instructions that are given to do this however it does not work. I would appreciate it if Trip advisor responded to me directly, or at least correct their website to enable this problem to be easily dealt with.

Reviews taken down for no good reason

I reviewed a spa at a hotel and Tripadvisor keep removing the review as we didn't stay at the hotel. I've explained to them that there are many reviews for the hotel's spa, restaurant etc where the writers didn't stay at the hotel but these have stayed up. I've also explained that people staying at the hotel need to know how rubbish the spa is so there's no reason why my reviews keep getting taken down
