Trubella med spa & aesthetics

I’m writing this to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.
I called TruBella Med Spa on a Saturday asking for pricing on microneedling and hydrafacials. I was told pricing could not be given over the phone and that I would need to come in for a free consultation, which would include a face scan to assess my skin and determine appropriate treatments and pricing. I went in the same day based on that information.
During my consultation with nurse Courtney, I explained clearly that I was interested in natural treatments, specifically microneedling, to improve my smile lines and skin. No face scan was performed. Instead, I was told that my issue was not a skin concern but volume loss, and that I needed five syringes of filler in my cheeks, chin, and jaw. I shared that I was not comfortable with those areas being filled, as I prefer a natural look.
Despite this, the recommendation remained five syringes of filler totaling $4,000, and I felt pressured to move forward that day. I was told I should apply for Cherry financing immediately and that the Cherry offer was only valid for 30 days, while my appointment was more than 30 days away.
I asked specifically what would happen if all five syringes were not used since I would be paying in advance. I was told clearly that I would be refunded for any unused syringes. At no point was I informed of a no-refund policy. Based on that representation, I agreed to pay.
After thinking it over, I called the spa a few days later to cancel because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding with filler. I was then told that refunds are not allowed and that only store credit could be offered. This directly contradicted what I was told during the consultation.
I contacted Cherry and was informed that refunds must be processed by the merchant. Cherry even offered to speak with the spa directly to clarify, but the position remained that no refund would be issued. I was told only the owner could approve a refund.
When I eventually spoke with the owner, Linda, I explained everything calmly. The conversation felt dismissive, and it was implied that my account was not believed. I was again told I would not be refunded, despite the fact that no services were ever performed and I was never informed of a no-refund policy.
I want to be clear: no treatments, procedures, or scans were performed at any time. I am now disputing the charge through the appropriate channels.
I am sharing this experience because transparency matters. If refund policies differ from what is verbally stated during consultations, that should be clearly disclosed before payment is taken.
