There is so much wrong with Tru Green. I am a former customer not an employee But I know people who are or were.
service dates were scheduled and then not kept causing my backyard to not be serviced bc I need to keep the gate unlocked when they are scheduled. they did not treat the entire perimeter as discussed several times
I think customers would receive better service if they paid better, provided comprehensive medical benefits as opposed to a mini med plan, and didn't subject their call center reps to work in a none ventilated building with toxic fertilizer fumes filling the building asking employees if they want to leave but they won't get paid . They preach high pressure up selling and retention calls with no commissions for the employees. oh did I mention they are a $1.6 billion company?

We have been using for 19 years in Virginia and have been VERY satisfied. However, we now own a home also in Ohio and it's been nightmare to get any one to visit our home and to be accountable.
Like our service in Virginia, we opted for full service for our home in Ohio. We started service this past spring and have had one treatment. We have received a couple notices when they were to treat our lawn, only to find out, they did not. I have spoken to many (7) individuals from TruGreen and each time had to share the same story over and over. I even acknowledge the time we are in, where finding and keeping employees is tough but yet that wasn't confirmed. We finally thought we had the right person in charge, after I continually asked if there was anyone in charge of operations for our area and asked where is the accountability, to finally be connected with the purpose in charge of operations in our area. Out the gate she seem great. Attentive; seemed genuine and with a mission to get things on track. After our second conversation she met my spouse at the house to look at our yard and to discuss the next treatment. It was a great conversation. The I received a call from "Lori," immediately telling me she has half the story and I AGAIN had to tell the whole story up to this point and only to be told she needs to contact Allissa (our region manager) to find out what's going on and will call me back. I heard nothing from Lori and nothing more from Allissa! My spouse left a voicemail asking about the status about when someone is coming to treat our lawn and there has been nothing! Again, no accountability and no operations oversight. Incredible doesn't even express the train of nonsense that we have endured. Hard to wrap your head around how blatantly ridiculous.

First off before I give my review I want to say any issue that I’m going to write about did result in a manner that made me happy yes there were issues , But they were solved in a manner that I was satisfied with I had no issues with customer service they took care of my issues immediately , foremost you must have someone or some camera to monitor the application because my issue was that they told me on my ticket that they applied to the front and backyard that is not the case I was able to see with my camera that they did not do the whole front and backyard and put on the ticket that they did so be careful when using this company , because the technicians will say they did the job but did not do the full job another issue was it seem like every month that I was to have an application I had to call and find out why did they did not show up on my schedule day it was getting changed more than it should had been with no Advance notice

Really BAD. Our lawns were pretty nice, lush and green before we started with Trugreen but we had (AND STILL HAVE) a lot of creeping charlie. We thought the service would help thicken up the lawns to overtake the weeds. Over the course of 4 months our lawns have progressively starting looking worse and worse. We were told they would aerate the soil in late fall and re-seed, but last week (Mid-August) during a heatwave some guys showed up, raced around the yards on an aerator and blew some seeds. That afternoon it looked like people had been 4-wheeling in our yard. So now all the nice grass is yellow and dying, the creeping charlie is still growing and it looks really shameful. We have a yard guy that has been mowing this property for 10 years and he commented today that A. Wow, this looks really bad and B. I'm surprised they did this in the middle of summer, it can kill your lawn. Also, seeds won't germinate in this extreme heat.

I'm really so sorry we didn't research this company better. Will be canceling our service and hoping our lawns recover.
