I had full facial rejuvenation surgery with Dr. Mehmet. I have been following him for about 2,5 years and watched all of his videos, studying his results and doing my own research across different platforms and surgeons. But the moment I had my first consultation with him, it was clear. He was my only choice and I am so glad I trusted that feeling. He was extremely open and transparent about everything.
Now, 8 months after surgery, I am so happy. The way I see myself in the mirror finally matches how I feel inside. I still look like myself (that was what I really wanted) but very well rested, energatic and even glowing. Together with the surgery, I had regenerative treatments and they made a noticeable difference in my skin.

This was a beautiful experience. The staff was very professional and helpful. Sinem was my coordinator and she was very prompt and thorough answering all the questions I had since I was flying from California to Istanbul for my revision procedures. She made sure to follow up with me during my trip, and set up transportation upon arrival. My “out of country patient” needs very fully met. She is very professional, kind spoken individual. The overnight Nurse Kubra was simply wonderful and very sweet, gentle and just a genuinely happy person to have around during one of my most vulnerable times. He truly wants the best outcome and happiness for you. He has helped to bring my confidence back by executing my revision surgeries so beautifully and is a true master of his craft. I had to have a very complex revision forehead lift that left me with big asymmetry and nerve damage (by previous surgeon) on the left side of my face. Dr. Mehmet delivered the most gorgeous forehead lift and within 3 months all of my nerves were restored back to normal. My revision rhinoplasty required rib graft and I absolutely love my nose. It is stunningly natural looking and just belongs on my face. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for undetectable and natural looking results. This is a very ethical and very skilled surgeon. I also want to point out that his wife Gizem was an absolute sweetheart and can tell you that they are a winning combo.

My whole experience with Truself was fantastic. Dr Mehmet, Gizem, the nurses and staff made the whole experience just wonderful. They couldn’t have been more thorough and caring. The transport provided was efficient, on time, clean and friendly drivers. The hotel they provided was fantastic - Clean, friendly staff and an on site nurse should she be required. They had a shuttle service should you require to venture out further. We used it to go to the shopping mall which was a great visit. The hospital was amazing, again so clean, plenty of space in our own room and absolutely wonderful staff. The food provided was delicious and nutritious also. I felt very safe. The area we stayed in had everything within walking distance, shops, hairdressers, clinic and hospital. I felt very safe walking about by myself or going to grab coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and it really was an enjoyable experience. My results are better than I could of imagined and I will absolutely be returning

Dr Mehmet team are amazing the journey from start to finish was seamless from being picked up at the airport to getting to the clinic. Of all the surgeons and clinics I have been too they are the best and I wouldn’t now go to any other clinic than here for my surgery they are lovely and I feel really safe. I had very intense surgery and needed lots of help and the whole team couldn’t do enough there was no stress. All his nurses and Assitants are all amazing.i needed a 24 hr nurse at one point and that’s what I had u cannot fault the service. I was actually quite sad to leave as everyone was so lovely. Will be back next year for my check up and another surgery with this clinic

I am so glad I was blessed to see this dr and his lovely staff nothing was an issue . I am extremely happy with my results of deep plane face and neck lift and chin contouring . And I have already planned to go back next year for more surgeries with him. Travelling from Australia to turkey was long but I will do it all again . My review of TruSelf Clinic, and in particular, my amazing plastic surgeon Dr Mehmet Cömert is written with a huge sense of gratitude. I am now 15 days post op from a deep plane facelift, necklift, lower blepharoplasty with fat transposition and facial fat transfer, as well as C02 laser on face, neck and chest. I did over a year of research on this procedure, interviewed surgeons both in the US and also Turkey, really hoping to work with someone who has primarily focused on face work and approaches lifting in a harmonious and multifaceted manner. My complaint was not just my lower skin laxity (me, 41 yo female. No significant weight gain or loss, just general skin thinning and hanging) but also my undereye area. I have had other procedures in the US, where I live, and was a bit freaked out about managing aftercare of a facelift after being discharged from surgery same day, as if often the case in US surgery. I had actually been booked in with another provider in October, had paid my deposit and was ready to go but something in my gut didn’t feel right. Kismet and more online research led me to find Dr Cömert and his results on Instagram were compelling to say the least! I reached out to make a consultation appointment and the process of working with Gizem, founder of TruSelf clinic was seamless to get this scheduled. I felt very at ease in my initial zoom meeting with the Doctor, and felt that we were both aligned and understanding of my concerns and goals for the procedure. With great deliberation, I canceled with my other provider and was so happy to get on the schedule of Dr Cömert.
One huge concern of mine was what was described to me by my California provider as an apparently small amount of filler placed in my tear trough in January 2024. Since April of 2024, that filler has caused a multitude of complications, migrations into other areas of my face and lymph drainage issues because of blockage causing bizarre eye puffiness in strange anatomical locations. This completed matters when looking for a surgeon as prior to my meeting with Dr Cömert, I had already worked with another CA provider (not the original one who placed it as my trust with her skill set had eroded after finding out she put Juvederm XC in my tear trough, a total contraindication given the density of this HA filler and its likelihood to cause issues in undereye placement) to attempt dissolving the filler under my eyes x3 with little luck. Dr Cömert was one of the few surgeons I had found who utilized ultrasound technology to find the filler and recommended that we meet at least 4 days ahead of my surgery in order to start the dissolving process with ultrasound guidance. My trip was then planned. I arrived early as requested (I believe we met 5-6 days ahead of my surgery) and felt even more at ease as we located and he dissolved the errant filler. We then reviewed our surgical plan that day with another scheduled pre op meeting to be held on the day of surgery at the hospital. Day of surgery, I would say there were some reasonable nerves (it is a significant 8 hour procedure in this case), but after meeting again with the Doctor, the surgical nurses, and treatment team, I felt further confident in my decision to pursue this treatment. Surgery is not for the faint of heart. After coming out of anesthesia and in my private room, I was met by my private 1:1 nurse who was fluent in English and fantastic, as well as caring and competent. I had another fantastic nurse stay with me for the second shift, and I felt so well cared for. Once discharged after 2 days, I stayed at the hotel arranged by the clinic, Fulya Vital Hotel, which caters to folks who are in town for medical procedures. My room was lovely, lighting very favorable, great daily breakfast (included, quite the spread with all my protein needs) and room service daily that was fantastic. The comfort and service of this hotel was great. It is also 2 blocks from Dr Cömert’s clinic which makes follow up a breeze. I saw the team daily in the initial days for follow up, both with the Doctor and his surgical nurses who proved lymphatic massage post op. My communication regarding my daily follow up (control) appointments was seamless with Gizem and Sinem via WhatsApp. Every need I had was met, every question I had answered and every normal and expected recovery issue managed. I stayed in town for 14 days following my surgery, which felt an appropriate amount of time and I’m glad I gave it the full two weeks. My leaving was bittersweet because although I had just had a major surgery, the way I was cared for by the treatment team and TruSelf clinic as a whole was more like I was leaving friends.

The best, truly, and if you are traveling far from home for medical care, I would without hesitation entrust Tru Self and Dr Mehmet with your care.

Dr. Mehmet Comert, his wife, Gizem and the entire surgical team are above excellent. Dr. Mehmet is super talented and really knows what he is doing. His team follows suit and goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and heard. Aside from being extremely professional they are ALL very kind. This is important because you really feel that they care about you. The follow up care is amazing as they are very attentive. I felt like I was leaving friends when I left. I love them and highly highly recommend Dr. Mehmet because of his professionalism, TALENT, his incredible team and ALL of their kindness!

Deep Plane Face Lift
Hello. My name is Mark. I am a 69 year old Australian who lives in Bali, Indonesia. I am writing this review about Doctor Mehmet and his team as i feel they where awesome throughout my process of having a deep plane face lift in Istanbul. Let me add I don't write reviews very often.
I decided to have the face lift after years of watching the wrinkles in my face get bigger and bigger and slowly developing a double chin, which I particularly hated! I didn't decide to have the procedure to look younger, rather more to get rid of these things from my face.
I'd heard Turkey had great cosmetic surgery and was consequently referred to Dr Mehmet through a friend whos lived in Istanbul for many years. Initially I talked with him via zoom and immediately felt at ease. Hes very easy to like! I also felt he knew what he was talking about, so I flew to Istanbul and went ahead with the deep plane face lift plus we did my forehead and chin. I was a bit shocked when I awoke after the operation due of the extent of the surgery. But after 3 days my face started to settle down and within a week I was back in my hotel and eating in the restaurant. Istanbul is great for this as my face looked like I'd been in a war, bandages everywhere, but no one cares. Every second foreigner is there doing face surgery or hair transplants, so its all very normal for the locals. After 14 days I flew back to Bali. Its been nearly 3 months now and my face is looking good. All my friends say I look 20 years younger, not that I did this to look younger, but it's definitely a great bonus!
Doctor Mehmet is a highly skilled surgeon and did a great job for me. Gizem his wife, is marvelous and super helpful. Their team are incredibly professional and took all the fear out of this process for me. Can't recommend them highly enough.
