This company is horrible to work with! They use an antiquated system and always difficult. I have no problem with my banks and stock broker online! Trying to remove my account with them!

For me to get my metals out of this company I had to pay $350 on top of my annual fee. I had to speak to numerous people who could not give me a straight answer on anything. It took over a month for me to get my metals. When I received my metals, I wanted to check the numbers to see if my gold numbers matched the photo images they sent when I opened the account. The images of gold in particular were taken with the numbers faced down so I have no way of knowing if my metals are actually in the vault. I have many many many questions which has many red warning flags. I do not recommend this company at all. Unfortunately Noble Gold is the front horse so I was blinded by the truth of the actual buggy. DOGE we need an audit at Equity Trust please.

DO NOT Invest your money with EQUITY. They have the worst investing site I have ever encountered. Their fees are extremely high. Do not invest your money under any circumstance. My Broker ( Les) put my money here and it was a mistake!

Very good but they do forget some details that gets frustrating when you tell them 80 times. Otherwise good. Online portal is easy to use and I like the reps, they're kind and helpful.

Unfortunately, there is not an option for zero stars. NEVER PUT YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! Opening the account was easy, trying to get your money back next to impossible. This is obviously their business plan not just incompetence. Some of the worst customer service, constantly getting the runaround. Impossible to speak with a supervisor. Really hard to have confidence in a company when you have to jump through hoops and navigate roadblocks to try to get your money back. it definitely leaves you with a lack of trust.

I've been waiting for six weeks for the transfer of my IRA. Every time I call I get a different excuse. They don't seem to have trouble receiving your money but can't seem to find a way to return it when it's requested. Very unprofessional!! I don't know how they got an A+ rating with the BBB.

All they care about it making additional fees on your account every step of the way.

I requested a letter as instructed by the site for validation- my rather abrupt call with them said this will not happen! I feel they put up barriers to accessing MY money - operator basically hung up on me, refused to give name and would not put me through to supervisor - terrible customer service DO NOT use this company unless forced to do so.

As I read through the reviews, Im thinking that all of the bad reviews did not use a third party platform listed on Equity Trust's website. Whether you want gold or crypto, my suggestion is to start with one of their third parties and invest that route. Its much cheaper and smoother. Equity Trust has been around for so long that they have been through many financial storms throughout their years and have managed to stay afloat. That says alot about a company if they never have to freeze or halt withdrawals.

I have an account for three years. Equity Trust changed my storage status and increased fees without my knowledge or consent. When I finally got to the bottom of it, the lady admitted they made an error. The fee has supposedly been changed back but they deny a refund for overcharging me. Run away fast from these people and A.H.G.

Incompetence on a gargantuan scale. I’ve received at least 5 applications from them w the wrong social despite me having sent in an app with the CORRECT social. I call to confirm they have the correct social, asked to state it and she confirms it’s correct. I ask her to read it back to me. She reads back the INCORRECT social I am trying to fix! Want to convert to a Roth? Should ne easy but it’s not when they send an application that asks for the Roth account number as if it’s already established. No two answers are the same from two different people. I’ve spent hours just trying to fix an incorrect social security number. STAY AWAY. you’ve been warned.

Finally, Equity Trust, please don’t reply and offer to help me via email as you do to everyone else that complains. You are just doing this for PR purposes. I’ve emailed multiple times with no response. If you actually cared, you wouldn’t have the terrible rating that you have.

Please please heed the reviews. It's taken me more than 3 months to move my money from Equity Trust. I made the decision to move because of a lack of communication from the company. Which was further proven by the lack of response and respect given to my concerns and questions. I did hear from Trisha who seemed concerned at the time, and gave me some helpful information. However, has not returned my last 3 phone calls. Still waiting on final distribution and refund of my fees. Do not expect any proactive communication from them.

Terrible. Took months to get the remainder of my money, charged outrageous fees then had the nerve to email me another bill after I paid 4 fees to get my money out. I had to pay everything upfront in order to get what was left of my money that was lost when a gold company closed down with no calls, letters, etc. advising anyone that they were going out of business. Never received statements only invoices. I had to pay for a storage fee for January to December of 2025 for my precious metals even though I liquidated them in November of 2024. I was told that that was company policy. Between these two companies. I suffered greatly.

The prompt, courteous service is always great.

The agent Amy, assigned to my case, has been fantastic! She goes above and beyond to help me navigate the system and consistently keeps me updated on any developments. Even when there were some setbacks due to technical issues, she was proactive in reaching out and keeping me informed. Her professionalism and dedication have made this process much smoother.

My experience with them was bad from the very beginning. I bought $10,000 worth of product and placed it there about 10 years ago. Any possible earnings were wiped out by the fees of $250 per year. You would need a lot more than $10,000 in it to make it worthwhile, which of course nobody told me. I finally got old enough to take it out without getting a huge tax hit. It took about 6 weeks and numerous phone calls and emails before they would release it. Each call was a good hour long because I had to wait on hold at least half an hour. One hand didn't know what the other was doing. The clincher for me was that after they had stalled so long they charged me a $250 storage fee. You have to pay the the entire year regardless of how long you keep it that year. So I called in January and wound up having to pay for the entire year. I lost money while the gold market more than tripled. I rarely leave a negative review that this one had to be said.

Customer service is not very good, simply clerks who read the history of request and do not provide real updates nor time to complete a transaction. You are placed in hold for 15-30-45 minutes with no human interaction. Do not use this company unless you want to be aggravated by poor service and long delays getting anything done.
