I love Tryhackme and its learning system. The rooms are Incredible and the simulations are so good. But sometimes the rooms can be quite confusing

Been with TryHackMe for over 2 years and have picked up lots of useful knowledge. Wish there was a mobile friendly app to let me learn on the go but you can log in through a moblie web browser. however, a mobile web browser wont allow you to open VMs. anyway totally happy so far and maybe one day a mobile app version

TryHackMe is an online cybersecurity learning platform designed to teach ethical hacking and security skills through hands-on practice. Instead of just reading theory, users actively interact with virtual machines and simulated environments, making learning feel more like playing a strategy game than studying.

I have had THM for about 2.5 months now and absolutely love the information and experience it provides. I would recommend this if you wish to learn on your own time. They have been experiencing bugs though and I have been having trouble on & off starting virtual machines. This stops your progress, you cannot move forward. I have lost many hours trying to troubleshoot this issue as the "start machine" button doesn't appear on the page. After experiencing this issue a few times I decided to reach out to THM. This is where my experience went sour... They said they are aware of the bug and are working on it. GREAT! I said. I purchased the yearly subscription and asked if they could give me an extension on that year for all of the time lost due to issues on their end, not to mention the nuisance of paying for something you can't use. They promptly said NO and that this issue was a one time occurrence, even though I had informed them I had been experiencing it on/off for weeks... They firmly denied my negative experience. I carried my laptop around on a trip hoping to get some time in and could not. I would recommend paying monthly so you can cancel if this happens to you. I have no way of knowing if this will happen all year as they seem pretty inconsiderate of their customer's time and experience with their product. I'm sure there are alternatives which I will switch to as I am a loyal customer when a company values their customers, I am not one to support such crude business practice. I am feeling a little scammed. TLDR: Great info and platform, sometime bugs gatekeep your progress and customer service/satisfaction is awful.
