Tubemate doesn't give the user enough control over the app. Thus, allowing the uploader(s) to commit fraud against the downloader. Almost like the way the Larry H. Miller Toyota dealership is being run off of Alameda in Albuquerque, NM. They will start doing things to your car without your permission.

Tubemate used to be great, but like everything from the US they dropped the ball something major. Can't even download an mp3 anymore, which is a joke. So all it does now is let you watch stuff online, as long as it gets to feed you ads in the process. So Tubemate functionality is now what, exactly? The answer is, nothing. All you can do with it, is exactly what you can do without it lol.

Used to be I'd have given it 5 stars, but as the years go by TM get worse and worse. Today ads will open full page and cannot be turned off. There is no X to shut it off. A fake X appears after about 20 seconds, but tapping it will always open your browser to a Google page offering another app. Back spacing only returns you to the previous page that cannot be shut down or backed out of. The only option you have is to shut down TM then restart it. When you do all of the pages/windows you had open have disappeared except the one you were looking at when you shut it down. There is no history in TM to look at and try to get back to the pages you had open before and its hard to remember the five or ten pages you had open.
Years ago TM operated perfectly, but every time they "improve" it, it gets worse.
If things don't improve I'll have to search for an alternative. To bad.

I am a long time user of tubemate frustrated with how YouTube has blocked downloads on the latest versions of Tubemate.

I downloaded version 3.4.9 from Tubemate.io their new website apparently and downloading started again. So far so good.

Hope it continues. This post/page/review is to share my experience that the site is a working tubemate site.
