They hide behind email and never answer…Gestapo company

They hide behind email and never answer at all. I cannot say enough bad things about the entire company, the customer support is ZERO, their site looks like it is 20 years old, they are just rude people in general. I heard their management are all crooks from the hood. They are by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Their automation is minimal and you become a data entry clerk. They complain about every little thing and are rude if they ever answer. Go to Distrokid or other but these fools have literally pissed so many people off. I almost want to drive there to walk in the offices and tell them personally how terrible they are and see what kind of despicable lowest forms of life work there, and maybe break up their Christmas party, to let them see how they have hurt so many people. TuneSore is all they make people. I will now working on legal action against them and I am going to make them pay all my legal costs.

Extremely Disappointed – 5 Months and Still No Release

I’ve been trying to get my music released on VK.com through TuneCore for over five months, and the issue remains unresolved. Despite being told three times that my releases were forwarded to the store and should go live within two weeks, nothing has happened.

I have a Premium subscription, yet the service and support have been abysmal. Customer support is not only unhelpful, but also fails to respond within the promised 1-day timeframe. When they do reply, they close the ticket immediately, regardless of whether the issue is resolved. There's no real attempt to fix the problem—I’ve had to raise the same concern again and again, always with a different agent who has no awareness of previous correspondence. There’s zero continuity, no accountability, and no urgency.

Even when a grievance was supposedly raised with VK.com on my behalf, I received no follow-up and no explanation for the ongoing failure to release my music.

This experience has been incredibly frustrating and time-consuming, and for a paid premium service, it’s simply unacceptable. If you value reliable delivery, transparency, and actual support, look elsewhere. TuneCore is not worth the money.

🚨 Warning to All Independent Artists

🚨 Warning to All Independent Artists! 🚨

I want to share my experience with TuneCore to warn fellow musicians about their unfair practices.

For months, I distributed my music through TuneCore and never received any warnings about “abnormal activity” or fraud. My balance was £40 two months ago, and I continued earning royalties without any issues. Last month, my balance grew to £74, and still, no problems were raised.

However, as soon as my balance reached £247 and I requested a withdrawal, TuneCore suddenly claimed “abnormal store-end activity” and refused to pay me. They closed my account and refused to provide any evidence or proof from DSPs (Apple Music, etc.).

This raises serious concerns—why did they not notify me of any issue when my balance was lower? Why only after I tried to withdraw? It seems like TuneCore is withholding money from independent artists without valid proof.

I have repeatedly asked for transparency, and they have ignored my requests. If this has happened to you, please share your experience. Artists deserve to be treated fairly!

Tagging @TuneCore so they address this publicly. If no resolution is provided, I will escalate this to consumer protection agencies. Be careful where you distribute your music!

Tunecore illegally withholding my royalties

For months I have been receiving confirmation emails, saying that royalty money I withdrew from my Tunecore account was being paid into my PayPal account.

Then I decided to check and NOTHING had been paid in! So I repeatedly emailed Tunecore demanding payment or answers - absolutely no response apart from their bloody bot.

Finally I received their answer, that because I had changed my PayPal email, they always withhold payment for 'security reasons'. They said I had to 'verify my account' before payments could be released. This requirement to verify was NEVER ever relayed to me - it could easily have been printed on their confirmation of payment emails but it is NOT.

Even after 'verifying' my account, only one payment of about £42 has been received. Despite constant emails, they are still illegally withholding over £200. I have warned them I will take legal action and I will. A bloody hopeless company that does not care about artists - I would avoid them if I were you.
