Vinyl records
They sell few records, and they’re turntables are incredibly expensive
Turntable Labs - Not a Great Company
When I first found the site, I thought I had found a great solution for pickup up records online at fair prices.
Everything after hitting “buy” has been less than stellar to put it lightly. They run a 4+ records deal for 10% as well as a 10% discount for signing up for email and text notifications. Somehow during my first purchase getting 4+ records I burned through my 10% discount at the same time for no additional money saved. I tried to call, the number on their website isn’t working. Great.
I send an email. Days pass, I get a response after 3 days after touting a 24 hour 1 business day response time on their website. Customer support is more than useless. Unable to provide another code, unable to give a good reason why I shouldn’t have my discount code. Horrible experience.
Shipping times also aren’t great if you are used to living in the 21st century. Orders can take up to 4 days (business days mind you) to ship and up to another week in transit. Mind you I live 12 driving hours away from where the items were shipped from. Maybe their warehouse is just so gargantuan that poor Billy needed the time to find A Moon shaped pool 2 LP 180G edition. At least nothing was broken when it arrived. Done with this company.
They sent me a broken turntable
They sent me a broken turntable. I recorded a video of it, sent it to their customer service, and they asked me to ship it back. I shipped it in the exact packaging I received it in and they claimed the dust cover was scratched and they needed to take 15% off my refund. I didn't ask for a refund, I asked for a turntable that worked. They told me the turntable was "resalable" and not broken from their end. It was definitely broken, I tried several records and had a few videos of it playing incorrectly. They weren't helpful at all. I wouldn't shop there again. What a bummer!
Just bougth an MF Doom LP that is…
Just bougth an MF Doom LP that is skipping, here is the answer that I had:
That record is not supposed to do that. Because this is an international order I can't send a replacement but I can give you a partial refund of 15% for your inconvenience.
I apologize for the defective record. Thank you for your patience and patronage.
15% refund for an LP that is worth nothing? It's joke, will never order again
AMAZING!
Got an Audio Technica Turn Table from them that came with speakers for less then anywhere else i could have gotten it, Along with that bought 5 vinals for under $400 Arrived in 2-3 day awesome site!!
Rude and Belligerent sales person!
Rude and Belligerent sales person! Don't buy here!
Best customer service ever!
This was my first experience ordering from Turntable Lab.
The album (Sade - Love Deluxe) wound up having a small defect on side 2 which normally I could ignore but you could actually hear it when playing it.
Ready for a fight, like I get everywhere else, I call them and get a man named Sam on the phone. He could not have been nicer about the whole thing and before I got off the phone, a prepaid return label was in my email. He actually waited on the line to make sure I got it.
I was instructed to send the album back and a replacement would be sent to me.
Today, 9/26/24, the replacement arrived and is perfect.
If you have any reservations about dealing with Turntable Lab, I can tell you from personal experience, they are top notch and stand behind their products.
Buy from Turntable Lab. You won't regret it.
I had a great experience working with the people at TTL. They were responsive and went out of their way to procure some items they don't usually sell. Good prices, good people, good service. I am perfectly satisfied. (Turntable, turntable upgrades and accessories, phono amp, CD player)
Refund Shipping Costs
If you live outside of the US don't bother buying from this company. They will expect you to pay shipping which is equivalent to cost of the vinyl.
Absolutely horrible, sold defective items.
Sold defective turntable that was broken. Lied about returns and took off HUNDREDS of dollars off return. They sold defective item, and yet have the audacity to take away hundreds of dollars from you and make you pay another $100+ in return shipping. No accountability or responsibility, trust me and buy from Crutchfield or other reputable establishments, not this scam.
Sold me defective junk!
I tried to return a pair of defective speakers that coat me $700+ which one is not as loud as the other & they emailed me back saying all sales are final. What a scam! I should have researched this fraudulent business before buying their junk!
no return authorized
I purchased this item in error from Turntablelab. When I received it, I realized my mistake, and emailed the company explaining my error and asking them to please let me send the product back. They requested an order number, then they asked if I was returning it for a refund, store credit or exchange, and I said I wanted a refund. From that point on, I heard nothing from them, and they wouldn't respond to my repeated attempts to contact them. meanwhile their 30 day window to return has expired.
They don’t know their products
They don’t know their products. Bought most expensive TT they bought it from another vendor which is fine but not their warehouse as they said. When I explained the critical limitation they had no idea clearly they do not test what they sell. In return status they seem like decent people so we will see. I have to pay to return. Lots of time spent not sure why I wanted to try them when I usually go to my audio store. We spent many days talking about my equipment. They are not high end.
I will still buy vinyl from them. I just got pissed cause you get excited then I have to start over.
This business is a SHAM
This business is a SHAM! Ordered $109.xx from Turntable Lab and they sat on it, never sent a tracking number. Called and got a person that could care less my order was placed 5 days before and still hadn't shipped. Give me a break. The reviews for POOR customer service here are REAL. If you want something, buy it on Amazon, don't bother with this business.
New turn table and speakers
I was looking for a new turn table and speakers. Let's just say Turn Table Lab didn't disappoint. Everything came packed super solid and was full of goodies as well. My only complaint could be shipping / processing. They do have 2-5 days for processing so add that to the shipment and it is definitely not the fastest service.
Overall i would say this was a fantastic experience and would definitely use them again in the future
Great experience
Got a few reaction figures... They got here fast. They were perfect... I'm super happy with them
Mild damages from shipping, their reviews are BS
I ordered 4 records from them and their jackets arrived mildly damage; corners are dented and sides of the sleeves have slits in them. Thankfully the records themselves arrived in good condition and have great sound quality. I'm not sure whether I got unlucky with the shipping or TTL's packaging doesn't protect the records properly. From what I remember the packaging was just a tad bit too big so the records might have shifted around during shipping, resulting in such damages.
I've written a couple of reviews for 2 particular records on their store page and have not appeared there yet. It's been almost a week since I written them by the time I'm making this review and I'm starting to think TTL isn't very reliable of a record store. All their public reviews in their website only have 5 stars, which I find to be BS. I'm not sure whether I should keep buying records from them or not, at least until they respond to me somehow.
Scam of a Business
Ordered a replacement “Official Audio Technica” turntable power supply and was sent the wrong one. When I reached out to customer service they assured me it was the right cable, despite it being the wrong brand and the wrong amperage. What they sent me was a cheap Chinese power adapter that doesn’t work, has no branding whatsoever, AND can be purchased on Amazon for 1/8th the price that I paid. Unwilling to admit their clear mistake is what kills it, for me personally. Also any electronics business should have basic understanding of why a lower amperage plug than required can be catastrophic to electronics. But to be told I’m wrong, as the customer? After receiving the wrong brand AND wrong amperage plug? They’ve lost my business for life. I recommend staying far away from this business.
I purchased a $595 Ortofon 2M Black…
I purchased a $595 Ortofon 2M Black Stylus from TTL in July. The suspension on the stylus may have failed and Ortofon recommending sending it back for replacement which I did.
I received the replacement stylus in an open unsealed container and was told it was a new replacement. It did not appear to be new and was identical to the one I had sent them and even dragged on the record like the one I had originally sent.
I reached back out to customer service and got no response. So I reached out to Ortofon directly with photos and they confirmed the stylus was faulty and immediately had me send to them for replacement.
Unfortunately my experience with Turntable Lab was not what I had expected or hoped.
