Illegal charges and refusal to delete personal data.
​"I strongly advise against using this platform. I requested the permanent deletion of my account and my financial data over two months ago as the service was ineffective. Despite my legal right to erasure (GDPR), they ignored my request and kept my credit card information in their system.
​On Jan 14, 2026, they processed an unauthorized charge. When I contacted them for a refund, they refused, claiming it was a 'voluntary' action. It is impossible to delete your banking details from their website easily. This site uses predatory tactics to keep charging users even after they have requested to leave. I have already contacted my bank for a chargeback and will be filing a formal complaint with Data Protection authorities."

Subscription Scam - DO NOT USE.

Absolutely abysmal service, no students come through whatsoever and then the company will randomly deduct £30 from your bank account with no warning. Then refuse to give it back.

Will never, ever use again.

I was charged 7.91€ from my bank account by Tusclases , even though I am not registered on this website at all.
I honestly do not understand how they obtained my bank/card details, as I have never created an account or agreed to any subscription with Tusclases.

Because of this unauthorized charge, I had to block my card and contact my bank to request a refund. This situation caused stress and wasted time.

I truly hope to get my money back, because from my point of view this looks like fraud. I strongly recommend being very careful with this company.

The reviews for AI classes are FAKE!!

They miraculously added 617 5 star reviews as soon as they launched the new platform. You’ll notice you can only read about half a dozen on the rotating carousel. They haven’t added one more all year.

I queried this with support who passed it to the ‘technical team’ who came back and insisted that the reviews visible are the ones from students that gave permission. Just the 6 students of 617 and no change in a year - yeah right!! I smell BS. Shame the levels some will stoop for an extra couple of euros/pounds.

Overbearing site. I signed up and was immediately bombarded by teachers and even received several phone calls when I was at work. They probably have the site written up so you "agree" with this but I don't know anyone that would want this; it's one step away from being a door-to-door salesman. When you try to contact a teacher they suddenly put up a paywall and describe it as a "student pass" but a teacher actually still answered me despite this. So sad because I wanted to support a different site rather than italking/verbling but I guess I should use them instead of this site if this is what I have to put up with.

Yet another site that has 'gone to the dogs' over the years. It worked okay for me a few years ago, but now the customer service appears to be nonexistent, and there are hordes of AI bots posing as teachers.
This site, like many others, is trash, unless you're one of the very few who have been well-established over the years. I don't suggest you try it if you're new unless you're one of those 'teachers' who for whatever reason sells yourself short by charging a fee that's an insult to the industry.

I can't unsubscribe and finish payments to TUS MEDIA SLl, my VISA card has got a monthly expense from this company, I didn't receive the legal notice by email.

I am still paying and not using the platform, after writing and calls they answer that under my e-mail Adress there is no account...than why should I pay for what...

I am a language teacher and have used this site for many years. For a long time it worked perfectly. The teacher pays to put his or her information to the top of the relevant list (subject taught in the teacher's area), and prospective students search for that subject in that area and see a list of available teachers, how much they charge, etc. Previously they could reply to any teacher and have a short conversation without having to pay anything. This is how it should be.
Then some time ago everything changed. The company got greedy, very greedy, and started charging the students as well. One of my students reported to me that they were charging him a direct debit without his knowledge when he didn't need to find another teacher because he already had one. I have also received information that the company is poaching students who have replied to one teacher and then offering them to other teachers in a way that is advantageous to the company.
The problem for teachers who have been with tusclasesparticulares for a long time is that over the years we build up a number of references so that prospective students can vet us before contacting us. So there is a disincentive to changing companies.
On the other hand, over the last year I have been getting very few students from this company compared to previous years. I would say that the response rate to my ads has gone down at least 80% and I would advise any teacher to look elsewhere to advertise their services.

Automatically charged me a month's fee without notification. Asked for refund when account was closed. Refused to refund and won't provide complaints procedure. Sham company

Have had many problems with this company over five years.They have billed me incorrectly many times.I have never had any response to my complaints,they also charge potential students to contact teachers.Never again will I use this company like many of my teacher friends.

I have been using this site for years and have built a strong profile with many 5* reviews. Unfortunately, I am not able to see any of the messages I receive from prospective students. This is the second time this has happened. Last time, it took them over a month to resolve the issue, with me having to send constant emails. This time, it has been around 3 weeks since I reported the problem and I have received no updates. Their customer service is absolutely useless. If it weren't for the fact that I have built up reviews, I would stop using the site.

You have to pay for everything. Just to contact a teacher you have to pay. Makes the app useless. I understand paying for some things or even having ads but when the absolute most basic function you need to pay for when the app isn't even that great makes it useless.

I had a very disappointing experience with this platform. I ended up paying 2 x 19€ just to send one message, and I received no response whatsoever. What’s worse is that I was not clearly informed that I was subscribing to a monthly auto-renewing plan, something that should be made very clear upfront.

There is no guarantee of communication with users on the site, and the platform takes no responsibility if no one replies to your message. In my case, I literally paid for nothing. I find the service misleading and not worth the cost at all.

I do not recommend this platform to anyone and will definitely not be using it again. I strongly advise others to be cautious before signing up.

Didn't even bother to take up my phone call, fake scams lost £ 29.50 three times for the Findtutor subscription even when I thought it was a one-off payment please don't fall in the trap of becoming a tutor in findtutors.co.uk they are not even responding to my enquiry email. They took my money twice on Friday the 16th of May and then still trying to take it on the 13th of June 2025. As I said fake company or they have to respond to my enquiry immediately without delay and give me the refund.

I have no idea who is paying people to review this website, but it is a complete scam. Students can only contact a tutor IF they pay €19 subscription. This is insane. Also, you can't message students back unless you ALSO have a "verified" subscription AND buy more than 10 messages , etc. I pulled this out of THEIR policies.

The platform explicitly requires students to pay €19/month for the “Student Pass” just to be able to message teachers.

To contact any teacher, students need to subscribe to Student Pass for €19/month.

This subscription lets them message unlimited teachers, but does not guarantee responses.

The free class offers (like the 20-minute trial) are only available if the student already has a Student Pass PRO, which is a separate, higher-tier subscription for Live Tutor services.

So even if a student just wants to ask a question or initiate contact, they have to pay first.

Nowhere in the policy does it say that messaging teachers is free. In fact, it clearly says that paying for Student Pass is “essential” to use the contact tool.

You can preload money into your tutor account (non-refundable) to use on platform services like highlighting your ads or paying for other upgrades. This balance:

Never expires, but:

Cannot be withdrawn or refunded, even if you leave the platform.
So you're basically locking cash into a closed loop. The platform gets your money up front with no risk of payout.

2. Highlighted Ads

Boosts your listing every 4 days, stays up for 30 days.

Paid = higher visibility in searches.

New purchases reset your registration “date,” which boosts your ad rank artificially (that's a gameable system).

Auto-renews monthly unless you cancel 4+ days in advance.

It’s basically a visibility tax. If you don’t pay, you're buried in the results. Also, ad impact is highly location- and subject-sensitive. So paying doesn’t guarantee anything if demand in your area/subject is low.

3. Verified Teacher Service

€€€ for a trust badge — valid for a year, auto-renews.

Requirements: Spain resident, Spanish mobile, verified photo, SMS check, reviews.

Cancelling it requires 8+ days' notice.

4. Live Tutor Program

You can offer 4/8/12 class packages.

Platform takes 20–25% commission, depending on when you registered.

Payouts only if you’ve earned at least €25.

Unused class value after 12 months? Claimed by the platform.

Tusclasesparticulares is not running a friendly tutor-student matchmaking site. It's a monetized funnel designed to extract value from both students and teachers.

Spamming out messages post-subscription to test the waters.

Bounced by the system after sending one message.

Victims of the platform's bait-and-switch UX: message a tutor, then realize you can’t follow up unless you pay.

And you, as a tutor, are nudged to pay just to stay visible, trusted, and ranked.
